On Monday I got engaged to a great guy. He proposed on the top of a mountain with a gorgeous ring and a sweet speech. He also put the time and effort into making a craft project for me that we left there as a momento to the day. I am so in love with him and happy and yes, finally glad that I am divorced and ready to move forward with someone who loves me and who I can talk to about easy and hard things.
Its been a long and painful journey and I never thought I would be loved or love again. I was so stuck and unable to let go and see the possibiities for a future relationship while I was struggling to single handidly save my marrriage to a man who would not join me.
My fiancee is a person who seems perfect for me, ready to challenge me to communicate and be open with him, a safe place, willing to learn and grow, read about relationships, go to counseling... everything I could have wanted.
He has 2 children that beamed when we told them the news, and melted my heart.
I hope the 6 years I have spent here have helped me know what I want, to see the reality of relationships good and bad. I am savoring the early stages of love and bonding and caring and hope I can continue to meet his need as well as he meets mine and follow the principles for a long and happy relationship. I think we have a great start.
I wanted to share with all of you here, where I have been through so much and learned so much and let go of so much.
Lora

Lora, I'm so happy for you. For those of us who struggled unsuccessfully to save our marriages, it's good to know that isn't the only road to happiness. Letting go is often the first step toward a new and better life.

Lora, Congratulations!! Thank you for sharing your special news. [he sounds like a keeper by the way, and he's lucky too!]
So many of us are where you were, and that stuck feeling you spoke of. You give us hope!

Thanks WOF, we were talking about emailing E harmony and now will for sure to get the bowl, although the bowel might come in handy too. LOL I didnt even catch it the first time... I am not so hot on spelling and typos myself.
Belle, you have a sharp eye.. and a wicked sense of humor.
Thanks Sunrise and Faith. Its nice to come out the other side and be happy.
