Simple text messages. An unsolicited "I love you" message with no strings attached at a random time of the day.

Of course, there's nothing stopping you from being naughtier in the messages, if your spouse appreciates it <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Phil,
Sounds like your wife is focussing on the wrong thing! Everyone wants to know that they are loved. If the fact that money is an issue (minimal for a TM), she should be happy knowing that you care enough to send her a quick note. If I were peeved at my H for doing something like that and he responded with "I just wanted you to know I was thinking of you and that I love you," that would be all it would take. You know, notes on the dashboard of the car, on the mirror in the bathroom, cards left in her makeup drawer....all nice ways to say "I love you." Keep working on it. I would LOVE if my H did that. Good luck!

This has been awesome for us. It cost us an extra $10 a month for both phones and the texts and pix are unlimited between us. We txt and pix all 3-5-10-20 txts a day. Its a very cheap "gift" to each other to help fulfill ENs.

Plus, its not like talking on the phone which most men hate to do. You have the option to respond whenever you have the opportunity. You can carry long conversations over the course of a day and never even put your phone to your ear.

And if you think its difficult to text message using those little keys on the phone, it like anything, alittle practice and you'll be an expert. Give it two weeks, you'll see.

I LOVE getting texts.

Not just an I love you, but something that describes why he loves me or how he loves me, or what he wants to do to show me he loves me.

It's something I can read over and over if I'm feeling down, unlike something spoken.

This is a great way to fill EN's. Being the BS on that "roller coaster" ride of emotions you get anger or depressed at the drop of hat. Receiving a quick I love You or I'm thinking about you during the day helps keep your spirits up.

I know it works wonders for me.

This is a great idea for those who are in a loving relationship.... However, i'm in a very bad situation with my wife right now. I sent her a text message the other day that was not mushy but basically was saying I thought she was beautyful....

Got no reply, no mention of it later at home... nada, nothing. =(

RedBarchetta,

I get the same reaction from my husband. He used to txt me all the time. He would say L U 2, or just L U (love you 2 and love you). Now I will send him a txt wishing him a good day and I love him and i just get u 2 back(if that). What causes a person to fall out of love? I've tried to be a good wife. We have both been faithful. It all started because I wanted quality time alone, i wish now I would have never asked. I would love to have what I had before, he is all i ever wanted in a man and I ********** it all up.

Gotta admit the texting/typing anything angle did nothing for me until I entered into a long distant thing. The random texts in the middle of the day are awesome. It also heightens the excitement of when you do get together.

I wish I could say something classy and inspirational, but that just wouldn't be (my) style.

I have same problem as barchetta. I will send text messages, saying I love you, while she is working at night. Send email with pics, ideas of things we could do together, and I get no response.

and then I get the phone bill, which shows she is capable of texting someone else else every other minute or so.

What can I do to turn this around in her heart?????
