I just thought being single and looking, you guys will enjoy this one.

On Thursday the a radio show was announcing a Friday Night Hook up. Which involves the radio show hosting some singles get together at a bar.

The DJs were having people call in and talk about how long was their longest dry spell for going on a date. This one lady calls in stating "9 years", she had a mom with an illness for years and then after that, just always got asked out by guys she wasn't interested in.

Then they have her hold, they come back and the lady DJ was so excited, stating how incredible it is that there is a man and a woman caller who are in about the same boat. One was the lady with the dating dry spell of 9 years, the other was a man with a dating dry spell of I believe 12 years or more.

So, the woman DJ says with excitement, "These two people incredibly both say they always get people they aren't interested in asking them out, both have had really long dry spells, both are the same age, so we thought we'd hook them up and pay for everything."

So she says something to the woman, and then to the guy, and the guys says, "No you don't understand, the problem is the only people who ask me out are women."

He said this as I was taking a drink. I almost spewed it all over my dash board and steering wheel.

The woman DJ says, "Ohhhh, ohhh" with much embarrassment. She tells the woman, "I'm sorry we tried, he's just gay." <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

You have just explained where all the great guys are!

(Excluding, of course, our MB buddies who are GUD)

It was a marriage that never really started.

Memorable quote from The Big Chill:

Meg: They're either married or gay. And if they're not gay, they've just broken up with the most wonderful woman in the world, or they've just broken up with a b*tch who looks exactly like me. They're in transition from a monogamous relationship and they need more space. Or they're tired of space, but they just can't commit. Or they want to commit, but they're afraid to get close. They want to get close, you don't want to get near them."

Consider how hard it is to change yourself and you'll understand what little chance you have in trying to change others.

This was really funny to read. In reality...I and some girlfriends of mine were at a gathering where there were quite a few guys. We sat there and labeled the guys gay or married. Interestingly we agreed on quite a few. How is it that you can tell a gay guy in a crowd.

To find a date is hard, to find someone with your values is hard, to find someone that doesn't want to jump in bed is hard, to find someone that is committed is hard....maybe we all should just stay single...right????
