if so, is he dating??
My wife's mother passed close to the time your MIL did.
We now have a different kettle of fish, with my wife's father living with another lady. He is 73 and she is 65. Her husband passed a year ago, she started pursuing FIL and moved in with him 7 monthes ago.
Into my wife's MOTHER's house!! It is a tough sitch.
There are those addictive emotions FIL is feeling now which were being felt by FWW 3 years ago.
And she can't understand how FIL could DO such a thing!!
I, of course, keep my big mouth zipped tightly shut.
Again, bOb, it was very good to see your post.
Regards,
krk

* warm handshake with Krusht*
How hangs the hammer, old friend ?
[/threadjack]
Sadly, my wonderful father in law, friend and wise counsel, Victor, passed away in 1999 leaving the world a slightly colder place without him.
I can recall from when my Mom got "interest from gentlemen" after my Dad died that its a pretty hard gig for an adult child to handle. Sort of feels like our surviving parent is more dismissive of our belowed lost parent than we are.
Mom never properly dated though. She hurled herself into our kids and travelling the world with us for the first time in her life ! Never had time for blokes
I feel for your W, but I have no advice other than to quote Sealfrom his 1998 album. "its the loneliness that's the killer".
I hope all is well with you, my fellow wedlock warrior.

krusht, the vows that were expressed at their M, were very explicitly, "until death do us part." Such a scenerio has now taken place and your w needs to understand that God no longer holds him to vows that have been forfilled .
He has been faithful to his vows, and the sad death has also released him from the former vows he has kept so faithfully. He is now free to persue another. It is God's way.
All Blessings, Jerry
