Hi. I don't see anything on how to check computer for internet porn usage. Especially - is there any way to check if he uses the "inprivate" browsing? Or, can I block the "inprivate" browsing somehow? And how do I know if he has been just deleting things off of the history list?
Long ago, I could check the temporary internet files. Then that didn't work any longer (I can't even find it now). Since then I have just been checking the history list, but nothing for quite a while.
I have had MANY years of reasons why not to trust. Maybe he is doing better now?? - but he won't answer my direct questions and definitely will not offer any info on his own. Like it's none of my business?!

I would put a keylogger on his computer. A real good one is eblaster because it will email you the reports and is usually not detectable. IT shows every website he visits. [spectorsoft.com]

That is a sign that he is hiding something. Huge RED FLAG.

I agree with ML ... thats a HUGE red flag. I would put a keylogger on the computer. Use the one ML suggests .. or check out www.desktopshark.com for theirs (i use the one i mentioned and have not had any issues with it and its a bit cheaper too)

How I wish I'd known about eblaster at the time ...
Another thing you might try is to check the list of stored cookies, and see if any are for porn sites.

Thank you for your input. I don't know what a keylogger is but I will look it up. So, there is no way to block the private browsing?

pill, you should install a keylogger on his computer and it will send you an hourly report to an email address showing you every link he goes to and every key he types. you just have to access his computer once to get it on there. go to spectorsoft.com and look at eblaster.

Well my Ex was not addicted to porn in magazines but he was VERY addicted to sex sites in which he visited the local whores and other loose women. He was signed up to Ashley Madison, Cheating Wives, Adult Friend finders, it was expensive and disgusting. He told me he would not stop; if I loved him I would deal with this problem of his cause he was paying the bills etc. I departed 7 months ago and glad I did even though alone and struggling. Be aware that many men do this on their cell phones too. My Ex had 4 different cell phone numbers assigned to his different phone numbers to meet his ladies! He wanted me to accept it but nope I did not. Old past church parishioners in the church got upset with me and feel sorry for him. I am kinda shocked they believed him that I was mentally ill and a nagger. I did not do that despite his horrible temper.Actually I am glad God exposed his problem to me cause I was not looking for it at all.

pill3, is he using a Mac or a PC? Even using the private/incognito modes in the browser, Windows will still keep a record of sites visited in a file called index.dat and there are tools that can read those files.

Hello. I haven't looked on here for a while. Thank you to all of you that have expressed an interest in encouraging and helping me. nelsonak - We use a PC. I would love to know how to check out those files from the private browsing, if you can help me to know how. Thank you! He is somewhat tech-challenged, but it's pretty easy to see where and how to use those cursed private sessions.
The key logger just looks like WAY too much information to go through.
Thanks again to all of you for the information to this point.

I found my husband on adult friend finder, ashley maddison, match.com, singleparentsmeet, cheating wives, zoosk and mocospace. he swears he's never never physically cheated but i don't care. I was unfaithful to him about 4 years ago during a separation and told him about it. he asked me to leave my job and i did for the relationship. since then we've had another child and I have found emails and porn and dating sites from the time during my pregnancy. Most recently I have asked for his fb and various email accounts and he wouldn't give me access just told me that i am the one who actually "[censored]" someone and that i was only looking for ways to justify my actions. a few days ago i had enough and i hacked into everything and changed his passwords. I gathered some information and let him find out. He was extremely nervous and now he's locking his phone inside a safe at night so i can't get to it. almost everything i found was older than a year but its not the first time i've snooped just never to that extent so i'm sure he's keeping it clean. i don't know what to do anymore

Welcome to MB.

I would post this is SAA and you will get lots of guidance.

Does he only use his phone?

Can you put a keylogger on his computer?

Can you check phone records?

Put a GPS and VAR on his vehicle.

Do not let him know of your snooping.

I can recommend Iwantsoft Free Keylogger instead. Because Desktop Shark is already dead. And Iwantsoft Free Keylogger is the most popular monitoring software on the Web today.

Free Keyloggers are not safe to use. Remember that if something is free, you are the product.
