In The End
Copyright © Jannie<p>He met me and married me
A life of good mixed with bad

Years of dreaming and building we once accomplished and shared
Shattered and fallen around me they lay

He left me one day, on my birthday, a special occassion it wasn't that day
Taking my possessions along with my pride

I grieved with pain within my soul
Then with saddness of my despair of facing life without him

I wanted revenge to get even for the pain
To make him suffer the infliction he had dealt

Time past and he slowly came back
Giving hope where none had dwelled before

Then one day, so unannounced
He left me again, behind my back

Past memories of pain swelled inside
There were no reasons, no excuses given

I'm left to wonder what I've done so wrong
What I've done to deserve his cruelty delivered

This is the time for there to be no pain
Nor despair and wonder, or doubt of myself

For my internal strength has surfaced
And on my own accord, I will survive

For that in itself
Is my ultimate revenge

While he remains bewildered to wonder
I will win in the end
