I hope so. My husband wanted a divorce and started to be very disrespectful. He said he was staying in the home with me and our son until things were final. This was very hard considering how he was being towards me. I ended up filing for divorce hoping the judge would ask him to leave. Once he was served, he changed his tune. he started helping out around the house, ot going out until all hours of the night, and actually being nice. He is still in the home with us becuase I have said it is ok as long as he can be respectful to the family unit. I am hoping that this time together, in the same house, will show him the changes that I have made in MY life and see that I am the person he can fall back in love with.
All I can say is believe in the love that was/is there and use that to guid eyou through the hard times!!! And BELIEVE that it can happen.
Jenn

YES, it does happen and it can happen to you. I'm personally hoping, praying and believing that it will happen to me. I realize that my resistance to accepting the divorce is also motivated by denial, (at least I'm not denying my denial [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]. But I do believe that God wants my marriage to heal even more than I do. I believe feel very strongly that He CAN heal our marriage. I also believe that He is not an imposing God. I mean that He didn't prevent me from sinning, and it wasn't His will that I sin. I also believe that he allows things to happen to bring about His ultimate will. My sin or more appropriatly said, recognizing my sin, has caused me to recognize my need for His grace and mercy and it's opened a door to a deeper relationship with Him than I've ever had before. I pray that same relationship will occur for my wife and my hope is that she will reconsider her actions. In the mean time, I wait, trusting in the Lord to do the knocking on her heart that He did on mine for a long time.
There are a couple of ministries dedicated to helping individuals stand for their marriage that might be of interest to you.
http://www.rejoiceministries.org
which has testimonies and an e-mail newsletter for both men and woman
http://www.covenantkeepersinc.org
which has testimonies and a snail mail newsletter.
Keep the faith.
Repenting
