While reading Zebrababy's response to me in my other thread, I thought she hit on something very, very important for me. I have been neglecting myself terribly! This pregnancy has been terribly stressful to me considering that this same time last year I felt my marriage was going great & we had been trying to get pregnant again after my miscarriage. So when I found out I was pregnant during our separation earlier this year, I had all these issues of this isn't how a pregnancy should be, my marriage may not survive, and to add financial problems to it all - I don't even think I recognize what happened to the person I used to be.

Normally when I go through a period like this, I pick up my Iyanla Vanzant books & go from there. But, I think I need a new book to read! So, does anyone have any good suggestions? I don't want to read anymore affair or marriage related material for a while. I went for a walk today (to try & get labor started, which didn't work & I'll probably be induced next week) and just kept thinking what happened to who I used to be? I have never compared myself to every woman I saw on the street wondering if I paled in comparison with her. Now - I do it all the time. And that bothers me! And Z - I will be taking your advice & doing more about me in my IC sessions.

Anyway - post any book that was helpful to you! I'll pay a visit to the library tomorrow & see what else I can find. Besides - I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to read since newborns sleep so much!

My newborn sure hasnt slept all that much, but hey! heres to hopin.....

I would suggest the Left Behind series if you havent read that yet. The first book is called Left Behind and they are by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. Totally awesome series! I think there are 8 or 9 of them now and you can get them at Wal-Mart.

Congradulations on your little one. Do you know what it is yet?

Oh, yes...and a fabulous baby book is called The Baby Book and its by Dr William Sears and his wife Martha Sears, RN....they have 9 kids I believe and 2 are adopted so I am assuming they have lots of experience. I used this book with my first one and refered to it as my "baby bible" I used it for sooooooooo many things. You name it, its in there.
