For those of you who are wondering, Abbi's eye appointment went GREAT!!!! For now, we are to discontinue the dialation to see if her eyes can remain where they are, or get better. They still cross, slightly, and the doc wants to see what they do with 2 months of no dialation. Of course, she is now old enough to recognize most shapes, like animals, flowers, a house, things like that. She was able to name just about every shape the doc showed her.

On a side, and almost scary note, as we were leaving the house to go to the appointment, I had one arm full with a package that I was going to mail after the appointment, so was barely holding Abbi's hand. Well, to get to the car, we have about 6 steap steps to the garage. I missed the 3rd step and fell the rest of the way down! Scared the "you know what" out of me, and my right wrist and leg are a little sore, but I just thank God that I wasn't carrying Abbi at that time! I'll be just fine, don't even have any swelling anywhere, just mainly scared me, and Abbi!

Just another day in the life of Tigger!!

Thanks for all the prayers and support for Abbi's eyes!

Love,

Tigger

Oh my, that is scary! Glad you are all right! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

And that is terrific news about Abbi's eyes. You know, my youngest son's eye turned way inward when he was a babe but now, it's barely noticeable and we did nothing! It just sort of corrected itself.

Remember I told you how we patched it but either he would rip off the patch or his sister would rip it off for him? So the patches didn't really help us at all. You can't even tell just by looking at him but you can tell in photographs... The thing is, it's all better!

I'm sure Abbi's healing will continue as well! What a blessing to have a positive eye appointment.

And to think, they asked us if we wanted them to do surgery on the eye! Good thing we said "NO THANKS!" Who knows what would have happened to the eye if we agreed???? Ya know?

Glad you didn't bust your butt too bad!

Miss talking to you too.

Tigger,

So happy to hear Abbi's eye appointment went well.

My 8 has to have her vision checked twice a year, I can't even imagine having to dialate Abbi's eyes so often...here I thought twice a year was bad. We had to patch J's eye when she was a toddler...whata pain!!!!

Peace

Tigger:

You were lucky not to have broken any bones or ended up with a nasty sprain. I hope your bumps and bruises heal quickly...you'll probably be a little stiff for a while though.

It seems so incredible that Abbi is old enough to impress the doctor with her knowledge of shapes already. I keep thinking of her as only a year old...they grow so quickly and time flies by at the speed of sound. Before we know it, she'll be in school.

It must be such a relief to get such a great report on her eyes...wondeful progress...I am so glad!

Hey Tigger, my slimy, dear friend, we could be clutz sisters! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> ...I had a similar mishap last Friday, not quite as bad, but in public, on an escalator! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

Great news about Abbi's eyes!!!! I will continue to pray that the next report is as equally encouraging!!

Love,
aut
