I am a huge admirer of the former wayward spouses that share their knowledge and experience here. They know who they are. I have read all your posts as well. But wildhorses is right; those of us currently going through the selfishness, viciousness, thoughtlessness, disrespectful behavior to our children and us from those we once believed and trusted with our lives have a need and a right to vent and rely on some humor to try to heal. This is a far more healthy method of coping than many of the alternatives.

I am an admirer of anyone who tries their best to heal their family after levelling such devastation upon it, and I know it takes guts and determination to do it. HOWEVER, for those that choose to abandon their families and wreak havoc on everyone's lives, as the wayward does, these jokes are FUNNY.

Actually, I think that if MORE FWS's came here, we would have more insight and understanding, alas, their numbers are low, but that makes us here appreciate them all the more. I cannot tell you how blessed I've been to have people like Lousygolfer responding on my threads. It makes a world of difference.
