It's nothing really bad, just another eye appointment. I had noticed about a month and a half ago that her eye was crossing again with her glasses on, and she was also removing her glasses more than she used to. So, through all the insurance garbage, and then the earliest opening at the doctor's office, her appointment is today. As most of you remember, my biggest fear is that they will need to do surgery. I am wondering if the doctor in our hometown took her off the bifocals too early, and that has caused this to happen. Her appointment is in 2 hours, and your prayers will be much appreciated! I'll update when we get back.

Thanks in advance,
Tigger

ps. I promise to catch up w/ you soon!
Stacia,

Sorry that I scared you! I didn't mean to, and I hope that I don't scare anyone else either! I know that you will be storming the heavens for us, as you always do!

Aut,

I have been praying for you as well, and look forward to our catching up with eachother!

Thank you both!

Ok, update for Abbi's eyes. Her prescription has not changed enough for us to get new lenses, so that's great! What we are going to have to do is use a patch on her left eye. This will cause her to use her right eye, and hopefully strengthen it! We have to "try" to use them 3-4 days a week. I say "try" because all of us who've had a child know how they fight something that makes them uncomfortable! The patches are like bandades for the eye, so would be easy for her to remove. So, now our prayers are that she will leave the patch alone. Otherwise, they will give us these drops to dilate her left eye, again, causing her to use the weaker right eye. I would prefer not to have to go that route, but will do anything to help her eye get stronger.

Thank you again for your prayers!

Hi Tigger,
Believe me, I know about "trying" to use those eye patches. When I put one on my son, if he didn't rip it off himself, then his twin sister would rip it off! Interestingly, we never had much success with the patches, over time, the eye straightened itself out! Keep the faith!
tigger,

Happy_girl!

I've often though of you on my trips down to see my parents! I would love to get together! I got you email addy and will email you after I make Abbi and I some eggs!

I tried to put one of the patches the doctor gave us on her this morning, and it stayed on about 5 seconds! Part of the problem is that the patches the doctor gave us were too big, and wrapped over the bridge of her nose to her other eye. I went and bought some junior size patches, but am going to wait till after her nap to try it again! I'm also going to keep a calander of when and how long she wears the patch to give the doctor at the next appointment.

Thanks again for your prayers!

Love,

Tigger
tigger4jdt I'm happy things aren't too awful for your little sweet Abbi.

Along with Stacia this scared me also! (subject)

Seems we forget that prayers are needed in everyday life as much as in times of crisis.

Hope she keeps the junior patches on now.....

Hey Happy_Girl! Nice to see you hang around sometimes. Blessings to your little baby girl!

OK, now I'm getting VERY frustrated with this patch thingy! She's worn her patch about a total of 60 seconds! The new patches fit her perfectly, but she pulls them off as soon as I let go of her hands! I even tried getting her glasses on before she could touch the patch this morning, but the glasses were almost thrown on the floor before I could grab them! If anyone has ANY suggestions to keep this patch on her eye, I'd really appreciate it! I'm almost thinking it would just be better to do the drops, but am concerned about the affects that could have in the long term! I'm gonna keep trying. The patches come in packages of 20 and cost about $6.50, so nothing major, unless she uses up a box in a day! Thanks in advance for you help. Remember she's a two year old when thinking of suggestions
