Ok.
Here's one: Having lunch together on a park bench while the rest of the world is going about their business.
I think it's the time you spend together that counts. So, for me, even a walk in the nearby woods is great as long as we're together and just talking.

Hi:
(I was divorced 4 years ago... seeing someone new now.)
We've been going out for dinner, etc. Now we are ready for more quality time together doing day to day things.
We're going shopping next week. I need furniture. He needs, maybe, to replace his microwave.
We'll learn a lot about each other. He'll learn about how I want to get a deal, don't like to spend money on essential things, etc. I'll learn about him. (He has a ten year old microwave.)
Well, I need the furniture.
Anybody read books on "commitmentphobes".
That's a whole nother issue. It's probably why I sleep on the couch and need bedroom furniture. I can't stand the idea of sleeping in a bed since I got divorced. I've avoided the purchase of bedroom furniture.
I have to laugh. It's syptomatic of being a "commitmentphobe".
If the shoe fits....

GB,
Laura

Okay so I am thinking inexpensive, just the time that counts, right. Actually those have been some of the most precious memories of time we have spent together.
1. We went to a grocery store bought a half gallon of icecream and cones and went to a park one night and talked, laughed and played till dawn. The icecream metled and the drink ran out, but the conversation was wonderful!
2. We used to ride around and around the "ritzy" areas of town and look at and dream about owning the expensive houses. He could remember the houses and tell what was added to them, he would point out houses that were new since the last time we were there. We would listen to wonderful love songs, some suggestive. Talk and enjoy each other.
3. We used to walk around the park, the pier, and talk, look at stuff.
4. We used to go to the beach and sit underneath a blanket and just watch the tides roll in and out. Watch the fish jump. Oh I felt so special! I loved it!
None of them were earth shattering, but they all meant so much to me. I loved each moment. I long to do them again. Notice each one said, we used to.... That is because we don't anymore. I hate that! Why is it that when we got married, he acts like we can't be friends anymore?
Oh I miss him!

Tracey
P.S. This is amazing to me, talking about this stuff is making me want to go home and love on him and kiss him. (Not make love, not yet, I can't.) Other than that, it is almost as though I have not 'just found out'.
