I have been divorced for 6 years. We have an 8 year old child together who we share custody of. Both my ex and myself have dated off and on for this time. I myself have not been able to 'get over' my ex. My love for her grows each day, but I haven't been able to convey this to her. I don't want to hurt the friendship we have established, but this seems to be the only woman I could possibly imagine being happy with forever. In need of advice.... should I let her know my true feelings, thus risk "Knowing" it may never happen.. or continue driving myself crazy, but always having the slight possibility that it could happen.
I think that a friendship is an excellent place to start a marriage. It certainly can't hurt to explore the possibility. I would caution you to go about this very gently to see if it is going to work.<BR>
I am very excited for you! I would suggest that before you do anything, visit <A HREF="http://www.restorem.org" TARGET=_blank>www.restorem.org</A> They have some great testimonies of restored marriages and a great book based on biblical principles. Please let us know how things are going!<P>You can read my posting under "Remarry your ex?"<P>Doug
I am in the same situation, as I also have not gotten over my ex. He lives with the other woman he left me for, but there are no marriage plans. We also are starting to get along better, and I think this bothers the OW--hate it for her> I read Doug's post and I hope we all get to the stage that we can restore our marriages. I'll say a prayer for all of us out there who are in unwanted divorces.
