The gridiron, you know that game of 'stop & go' he he he, used to play that at college but the boys said we were too rough ..lol heh heh so had to do hockey instead. Did you know you can be sent off the hockey field for just hitting the opposition with your stick?? Hey this can be my job in I- ville, international sports commentator..WOO HOO ... cricket, tennis, golf if you INSIST, lawn bowls for the more sedate & skillful of us here, footy, RUGBY all the time - that's League & Union codes, baseball if you make me, basket ball yeah baby, ok ok ok American Football on protest - how can you enjoy stop & go???? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

did you know that hockey is derived from medeival games, one from the area of the world you are now in??
See the tribes in the North used to cut of the heads of their enemies and use that for the ball. They also played that game on horseback, of course Rugby is supposed to be a offshoot as well using the pigskin aka head, my we have savage ancestors.
of course I wouldn't hurt a fly ... unless you have the ball & are in my way..he he he

well being inventive sorts we play on a hockey field not ice hockey. Aussies have been world champs for a few years in womens hockey, and we got gold at olympics.. aussie aussie OI OI OI..he he he
no helmets, or padding- except for the goalie - only shin guards... lots of broken noses and fingers, legs but thats the risk of sports isn't it? heh heh
Aussie though made me stop when I was pregggers with John boy though. Big bully. I mean I'm not exactly a cotton wool dolly you know and we dont fall apart with a bit of pushing & shoving.. he guilted me out though...lol

Hi Rif !! Yep, played guitar pretty badly since I was ten. LOVE it. Couldnever afford a martin ( wow!) but I have an old Gibson jumbo from the sixties that I play at home and a nice but soulless Yamaha that I gig with.I have a few electrics too, my favourit ebeing a 1978 les paul standard, made from swamp wood in kalamazoo. Its here my nickname came from , playing the guitar ! I used to audition with pieces from Bob Dylan and Bob Mould at a time when everybody wanted to be either Eddie Van halen or the Sex pistols ! I got a nick for being " pure bob" dylan or "pure bob" mould ! ta daaaaaaa ! Now you know. Clock's ticking RIF.
