Well if you must know, my parents live in Florida, and we pay for their expenses, including phone and DSL service.

I also went to University of Miami and lived in South Florida for quite a bit of time, so we all still use BellSouth for email.

Next thing you know I'll have to submit income tax returns and pictures of my husband to prove legitimacy, this is hilarious....

Dleigh,

Big hug to you, brother. This is HILARIOUS!!!!!! Does your lady friend by any chance have a name that begins with an M and is spelled rather peculiarly? Which is by the way, the reason we became friends, because we spell our names the same way.

Did you by any chance see her with a handsome man named Scott in church this Sunday? Are YOU the one I’ve been talking to her about and she’s been rambling about all these days?

God KNOWS what he’s doing!!! I came to South Florida because my friend wanted me to do some self-development workshop she’s been hollering about, and I’ve been in between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale this past week.

Feel free to email me offline to connect. There are more commonalities than I care to share on the forum…. Be blessed.

No tax returns, almost everyone lies about taxes, but a copy of your drivers license would work.

Okay everybody. Let's not get our bowels in an uproar over this.

Look, I think I was even the first one 2 ask that 2uestion, and I'm not very in2itive (I usuallly re2uire a 2x4 upside the haid 2 even notice I'm in the room ).

Ya gotta admit, dlc and C1, the coinky dinks are gimongous. Doesn't mean there's an association, but it does look interesting. It only seems like this is a big planet, but when you lump it and all the other planets except Jupiter 2gether, they still don't make another Jupiter.

And given the fact that most, if not all of us here, have been unwittingly TRAINED 2 be inherently suspiscious and slow 2 trust by the very experiences that brought us here, it's not surprising that more than a few people were starting 2 wonder.

*Curious? Definitely (I expect 2 die for that, right next 2 the cat).

*Suspect, perhaps (sadly, involving a little mistrust up front. Sorry).

*Accuse? I don't think we're that cynical. I hope most of us aren't, anyway. I don't think I'm cynical.

But I apologize for my part in the curiosity/suspiscion thang.

Moving forward and upward,

C1:

You have got to be kidding me!!! THis world is TOO small. I won't tell you what I thought when I first saw her with Scott (he is handsome...and welldressed). God DOES know what he is doing! Further proof that it pays to be honest.

I guess your talks with her (her 'good, wise, and happy' friend) really were what empowered her to hear me out with some perspective. Let me tell you, you're one hell of a friend.

I feel weird. I've never met you, but you've heard both sides of a very important story. Moreso, you know more about my thoughts on this than anyone I personally know. I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE A COUNSELOR. When you meet me, as I'm you will, I'll be the one with the beet red face.

The deal:

Counselor1 is an old friend of the lady i've been seeing. I unwittingly met her husband all week and we've been hearing about each other through our mutual party for days now.

THAT explains a lot of things. trust me on this.

p.s. Again I did not tell her (or anyone I know for that matter) that I am part of the MB community. That's why I'm shocked, SHOCKED, at this occurence. But then again my Faith tells me all things are possible....

Hi, 2long.

Since you posted to me, I assume you were using me as a launching pad :-)

I personally don't feel guilty about not trusting someone. I don't expect anyone to trust me sight unseen, and the fact that they might not, doesn't hurt my feelings.

My suspicious nature has saved me a couple of times from being dead, and more than a few times from finding myself in extremely bad situations. I have learned that I can trust it :-)

My concern was for DL. I am not an alarmist by nature, just practical.

All the best,
Gimble

Gimble:

I'm not that clever! There just isn't a "reply" button at the bottom of the thread anymore, so I clicked on the one that was in my face at the time.

I still feel a little bad about being suspiscious in the first place. Maybe because my suspiscions were put 2 rest when I got an email from C1, but then I started having doubts again when the list of coincidences (coincidi?) began 2 mount. So, apologies again.

Hey, there have been other strange things happening on the forums. Like BSs hooking up with other BSs after divorcing their WSs. Or worse, WSs using the forums 2 continue contact by "pretending" not 2 know one another.

I don't even know of more than a small percentage of that kind of thing, since I find in the past year or so that I post 2 maybe a handful of the people here, and almost exclusively 2 the GQII board. But it does happen.

This one has 2 be, by far, the most unusual I've seen, though.

Do they make pig swatters?

Most unusual indeed. It seems that my lady friend's good friend started lurking around here for her own reasons, saw my thread was was drawn to it b/c it reminded her of what her friend was sharing. I've unwittingly found myself being my own example.

There's some lessons here:

1. In the Universe there are no 'accidents'

2. It pays to be honest

3. You never know who's watching. (Good point for WS's)

Results? 1) My lady friend and I have been able to get to a more clear place more quickly. 2) I'm reminded of the wonderful, supportive community we have here at MB. 3) I'm not feeling the pain the searing pain of loss I felt when this thread started.

Strange. This thread started as a vent about trigger-pain and became a treatment on trust, intention, and the challenges of new love. Honestly, we never know what the day will bring. Good thing too, b/c some things we could never plan for ourselves.

dlc:

Kind of reminds me of one of my favorite Peter Gabriel songs (but a lot of things do that, don't they?!):

"Lay Your Hands on Me" - Peter Gabriel

"Sat in the corner of the Garden Grill, with plastic flowers on the window sill.
No more miracles, loaves and fishes, been so busy with the washing of the dishes.

Reaction level's much too high - I can do without the stimuli.

I'm living way beyond my ways and means, living in the zone of the in-betweens.
I can see the flashes on the frozen ocean, static charge of the cold emotion.
Watched on by the distant eyes - watched on by the silent, hidden spies.

But still the warmth flows through me,
And I sense you know me well.
No luck, no golden chances,
No mitigating circumstances now.
It's only common sense,
There are no accidents around here.

I am willing - lay your hands on me
I am ready - lay your hands on me
I believe - lay your hands on me, over me

Working in gardens, thornless roses, fat men play with their garden hoses.
Poolside laughter has a cynical bite, sausage speared by the cocktail satellite.
I walk away from from light and sound, down stairways leading underground.

But still the warmth flows through me,
And I sense you know me well.
It's only common sense.
There are no accidents around here.

I am willing - lay your hands on me
I am ready - lay your hands on me
I believe - lay your hands on me, over me
over me

Lay your hands on me
Lay your hands on me
Lay your hands on me, over me"

and I'm just a spiri2al atheist!

I'd much rather sit next 2U at church on Sundays. Your Faith and sense of spirit is inspiring. (As well as your choice in rock gods )

No I didn't make the Basic workshop, but did say 'hi' on a voice message left by my lady friend. Hopefully, I'll meet her in person b4 she goes back up North. Indeed Weaver, I feel better than I did a week ago, but what a difference a week makes. Thanks!
