Ok....call me a "hopeless romantic" but during the course of my 3 year, 8 month separation from my wife of 33 years, I believe the Lord has used several movies to encourage me.<P>As I have watched these movies, I have wept openly and raised my hand towards heaven and declared: "God, if Hollywood can restore a marriage...so can You".<P>Here are some movies that all have to do with Marital reconciliation and ex-spouses getting remarried to one another.<P>Of course, my all time favorite is The New Parent Trap (remake of the original with Brian Keith).<P>Jungle to Jungle with Tim Allen<BR>Liar, Liar with Jim Carey<BR>The Firm<BR>Independence Day<BR>Twister<BR>For Richer or Poorer with Tim Allen<P>If you are a hopeless romantic like me and you want to re-kindle hope in your situation (if you are believing for restoration), then these movies are for you.<P>Of course we all need to remember, "Only the Lord can restore/rebuild a home/marriage and family".<P>I hope this encourages somebody today and if you know of any movies with this theme, please post them for me.<P>Blessings upon all.<P>[censored] from Texas

Thanks for the list [censored] - I haven't seen them all. Right now I am kind of looking for a "safe" movie - one without affairs -maybe even one without any romance. We haven't watched a movie in quite a while because every actress who even slightly resembles the ow is a reminder. Last time we tried to see a movie I left the theatre about five minutes into the movie because the star had brown hair like the ow and I fell apart...hope this improves because I do enjoy movies...

Just a funny comment. Last week when my daughter was sick my H (who filed for divorce a few weeks ago) rented "The Parent Trap" for her. We haven't told our daughter yet that we are divorcing. What was he thinking?!?
