OK, MB'ers, it's about time to start thinking about D.C. Scandals Part II, "Just Friends," for D.C. area MB'ers and anybody crazy enough to come visit us.
After the successful first installment, "One Night Stand," at Dave & Buster's in Rockville, MD, in June, I propose we gather again at DAVE'S (WAT's) in scandal-less (scandalous?) Gaithersburg, MD, official motto, "Not Inside the Beltway."
I want to open my home to my MB friends. I propose a Saturday afternoon/evening in September to include a cookout and socializing with my son, Taz (au pair) and I. True, we can't offer a game room like Dave & Buster's, but we'll make up for that with hospitality and cheap good eats. Guys are welcome to grab a piece of floorspace, but, sorry Ladies, my separation agreement prohibits you from sacking out.
Indicate your interest with an e-mail to DCScandals@yahoo.com. Please specify a date preference in September (or August, October, or November). You will not be disappointed.
Prospective special guests include (with their claim to fame):
Ollie North; did NOT boink Fawn Hall.
Gary Condit; NOT a suspect.
Al Gore; proud of "what I'm NOT doing anymore."
Nancy Reagan; "NOT my husband's mouthpiece."
Dave (WAT)

Unfortunetly, I am way too far away to attend this shindig. But I'm sure you guys will have a blast.
WAT,
What would be ever so cool is to take pix and post them so we can place faces to the names of all the big hearted people who have helped one another. I would love seeing them.
Thanks for the invite!
Jo
I'll be really bummed if I find out you take them on a sail boat ride ... that alone would be worth the plane ticket.
[This message has been edited by Resilient (edited July 22, 2001).]

OMG.....are you serious? Dave....you are THE man! I'd love to be a part of the Scandalous tour and I don't live that far away....just a few hours north. Hmmmmm, I'll definitely have to sleep on this one. I think a lot better in the mornings after a couple mugs of java. I must say that this sounds toooooo gooooood!
------------------
Time heals all wounds as long as you DON'T pick at them!

It hasn't been in the water for three years but it'll be ready hopefully before the end of summer. So, come on!!!!!!!
Dave

So for those of us that 'can't' make it for whatever lousy excuse we can come up with. Can we still be hooked up via statelite? How about making reservations to be on-line via speaker and camera? I am not sure what all the techical stuff is but I hear it is easy to hook up a camera and sound. Wah la!!!!! I'm on the PC?!!!!!
Now, I will only commit to this if I can get my hair done, face lifted, and hopefully that is all you will see. Oh, yea, I want to appear taller. LOL!!!!
I can contribute vitural appetizers.
Just a suggestion. Will you need to get a larger monitor?
L.
L - I'm currently not equipped for this. My internet connection is VERY slow, so I don't think it'll work.
BUT! We can maybe schedule a thread hookup - especially if we run out of beer.
WAT

Hi Dave,
Ok. Sounds good. That will make those of us out in 'left field' feel like we get to participate. Now will you be serving Brador's. You know I have asked what this stuff is and both you & Rick have never responded. LOL!!!! Hmm.... is this only a guy's drink or what????
I think it is a great idea that you are having another get together. One day we can do a west coast party also. Maybe when I win that million from Mc Donald's monopoly game! Hey, maybe we could trade those little stickers and combine to win a prize. Is that against the law? L. - I thought we aired out the Brador thing a while back. No matter. When I was in college (years ago) I took a trip to Toronto and had Brador beer. Wow, it was potent. Well, Rick tells me that ALL their beer is that good and Brador's is nothing special. But, I still want to verify this for myself after all these years.
Dave
