Actually Orchid, I was thinking about you and how you were??
I am OK, because of my age (same as you 42) I am on Progestrone shots (the progestrone is in oil) so you can imagine the pain, and the brusing. I am taking pictures since H is giving them to me...just kidding. The thinking is the older we become the more progestrone we need to make the uterus all cozy for the baby...but I have had More than a couple of Misscarriages (6 , but 7 babies ..twins).. I was very blessed to have my 16 month, almost 17 month old. so after being tested for eveything under the sun, and everything coming out "normal".. this is kinda the last resort. I have bad nausea, and I am tired all the time..normal pregancy sypmtoms...(or it can be old age...lol)..I am more fightened this time around...maybe cuz it was unplanned. My Pregnancies are always High Risk...which makes the High Risk doctors nervous cuz of my background. Thank you for asking, I am only 5 1/2 weeks and so far so good..but I ususally dont Miscarry until after 10 weeks..so I have a few more to go. I will have a Ultrasound at 7 weeks, to make sure we have a fetus, at my age chromsomal defects are very High..Blighted ovums are VERY common. and I hate to have to continue these painful shots, if I have a sac and no baby. Orchid my fears are the reason why I have been so strong about your OW and her so called Pregnancy. she has 3 years on ME..her risks and chances are much higher than mine, and I doubt she is shooting herself up with progestrone. though I will admit that I have seen in....maybe once or twice, in all my years of nursing. It is very rare that you see a 45 y/o (46 when she delivers) have a baby without extreme medical intervention (ie donor eggs, medication, or severe problems)...now 40-43 yes, still rare...but our bodies were just not made to do this, at this age. I am frightened, because I do want this baby...we had talked (H and I) after we had our youngest, about surrogacy, or using donor eggs just so he has a sib close in age (the other two are very close), so before the tornado that was the plan. well I am in a "just wait and see mode". if I hit 14 weeks I will feel a little better , but I had a perfect little 13 weeker (with a great Heartbeat) just die, no reason.that really hurt.. but I dont have to tell you about that pain. so I will just keep praying..thank you, and keep us updated..

Dear Orchid,
I have said before that I hesitate to write often on the forum about my condition because I don't want to upset anyone. But, I was particularly touched when you gave me a shout. Like MyCross, I have also been worried about you since I have suffered multiple miscarriages and know how painful it is. Dealing with an OW/OC situation makes it so much worse.
There is a website that you might wish to check into that has support groups for pregnancy loss. They have a high risk pregnancy support group which I use. The URL is http://www.inciid.org.
I am just passing 16 weeks and the two babies seem to be doing well. I am in bed most of the time now and I have had my cervix stitched because I have a problem with it opening up due to the pressure.
I have a heart condition which keeps me traveling once a week between my cardiologist and perinatologist since I have to have special tests weekly to make sure my heart is not being negatively affected.
Bed rest is definitely a bummer, but I accept it with grace ... lots of reading, and I am certainly catching up on my old movies.
Orchid, I hope you are feeling a little better. Healing will come eventually but you need to make sure that you take time for yourself. You need to be pampered right now and I hope your H is doing that. Please write back and let me know how you are doing.
love,
heavenly

Dear MyCross and Heavenly,
Ladies, it was so good to hear from both of you. You are both beautiful women in such a delicate state. We just wanted to see how you were.
For me, I am doing ok. I will look at that site later. Right now I am at work this morning. My staff is working on a special project and I need to be here. Anyway, OW claims to have miscarried about 4 days after my D&C procedure. Hm..... H cut off contact on 7/4 and she made 1 call attempt on 7/5, he said don't call anymore. Have not heard since but it is all too new.
I have up and down times. Still feel those dam hormones raging in my body. In a crazy way for all that has happened, I still want another baby. Better check if my head is screwed in too tight or not enough ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/shocked.gif) .
Trying to make it through each day and managing to stay up with my work and family. H took us the movies last night and we say Dr Doolittle2. It had its funny moments and it was good for all of us to go out and have some fun.
H is still not meeting my needs yet. H is trying but finds it hard to say the words, I long to hear. H knows he needs to do more and for now, that knowledge is helping me hold on. But I tell you, it is sooo easy for me to tell him to leave. I am now fighting myself. H is here and doesn't really want to go. Hm....... OW told him "you have me what more do you need?" Guess he needed his family. That is what he said.
So for now, I am fine. You both concentrate on taking care of yourselves. If you can keep us up on your progesses.
Thanks for responding.
Take Care,
L.
