I bought my son some soap bathtup crayons. I use these in the shower to write notes to my husband and he does the same. He takes on in the am, so it is kind of a nice way to start the day if a positive written note.

Well, she said yes to my breakfast date, as writen on the mirror in the bathroom. These crayon things are awesome.

Another great idea…use dry eraser board pens to write notes on the mirror. When my husband and I were first married I found a note saying top 10 reasons I am glad I am married to you. It was so cute every once in a while we write notes to each other to discover later.
Another one is to place discovery post-it’s with words of encouragement through out the house for them to discover.

Almost every day for the last year out of no where...I get a text message on my cell phone that resembles a rose.... @};- It makes me smile every time.

Well, we're on our second set of tub crayons. Soon to be going on #3. I started a drawing for my wife on the shower wall. I work on it every now and again. She really likes it. Hoping I can draw a cool frame around it when I'm done.

We do the same thing with shaving cream gel on the shower wall.

I found a neat little flower vase that clips to the dash of your car. When my wife was in the house I cliped it in with a beatiful rose bud to suprise her for her drive to work. She loved it!! She tells me that she thinks of me every time shes in her car.

Hubby is very romantic (thank heavens, I survive on romance like its air). He does little things -

When we were outside the other day playing with our kids, I took them inside and he picked up the toys outside. I came out the next day to see he had wrote with chalk in Big writing (in pink) on our front stoop "I (heart" U" and then drew another heart with our initials in it Nice suprise and very sweet

We share a car, so he will leave little notes where I'll find them. I do the same for him

He will change the screensaver on our computer to say "I love you" in writing so when I go on, it pops up

He has laundry duty so he'll tuck little notes inside my clothes when he puts them away. Nothing as sweet as going to get dressed in the morning, taking your shirt out and a little note falling out

hope that helps

Wanted to post something hubby did tonight that was SO romantic (and free)

He knew I was going to get in the shower when I got back from my nightly walk (I always do) so he took the kids bath crayons and wrote love messages on all 3 sides of the shower walls inside Very sweet to find

Then I always check my email before bed (hence now) so he opened microsoft word and wrote "I LOVE YOU" in big letters so when I first sat down it would be the 1st thing I see

Thats affection to me.. and so simple to do

Please keep the ideas coming as my husband is estranged with an out of state EA (emotional affair).

About a year ago I had to go away for a week so I planned this kind of week long scavenger hunt. I wrote a card explaining the rules ( no cheating and looking at another days card etc.) and made a card for each day leaving either instruction and directions to the things he needed to find. One day I instructed him to search for a document on the computer using the file name "iheartyou" which lead to a poem I wrote for him. Another day led him into the bathroom where a love letter was hidden. One day I told him to check his email.... he loved the constant reminder and it made him feel like I was still there instead of being gone.

Comeback2me,

That is awesome! I have actually been working on a Valentine scavenger hunt for my long term bf. I do have to admit it is rather difficult.

I have been developing riddles that I am going to select as random places in the house and outside of the house. When he finds the gift he will receive another riddle that will lead him to the next. Each time he reaches his destination, he will receive a very small token of affection (i.e., a hershey's kiss, a collage of pictures of us throughout our relationship, etc). I am thinking that I may do 4 clues with a final small poem as the 5th gift.

Anything that anyone wants to add, feel free, or if you have any ideas.

Scavenger hunts are a fun thing - I did this for my wife two birthdays ago...I wrote a cute poem to start out, and get her to the first location from our house.

I picked a couple of her favorite stores - like Target and Goodwill(my wife is thrifty!!) and actually had them hold the "small gifts" behind the counter. Each surprise had the next clue in it in the form of a poem. (the girl at GW wanted to come with her to find out where the whole thing ended!)

I ended the hunt for her at Chuck E. Cheese Pizza with all of our married friends. We had a blast playing games, and for those of us with kids - it was great!!!

This is a great idea! My hubby usually leaves for work before I do, and leaves little notes for me in my car in the morning. Gives my a warm fuzzy to start my day.
