Hey Dewayne!

This is weird! I was just wondering about you! With the new posts by Dylan and John and some of the old-timers coming out, I was wondering if you were still around and how you were doing!

Hi Mitzi,
Yeah, I'm still alive and kickin'. I really hadn't even been to the board since some time last year, so to do so and see recent posts from Dylan, John and you was indeed, serendipitious.

Not much has changed for us. We are a complete success story as far as recovery from the affair is concerned, but there's still much work to be done. As long as I manage my expectations, I'm OK. I'm also rapidly approaching the half-century mark. I never really had anxieties or concerns about the other decade crossings, but I'm already starting to feel this one. I think I'm in the process of a funk of a mid-life crisis, but I'm not worried about anything bad happening since I also seem to be observing myself at the same time.

Anyway, how are you besides good???

Hi Dewayne,

Besides good, I'm doing really, really good!! I got married March 2002 to a wonderful man. He has 2 sons of his own so that makes us a family of 7. Also we're trying to add child #6! LOL I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment! LOL

THings with my ex never changed. He pays enough child support to keep him out of jail, doesn't use his visitation privileges, tells people I wont' let him see the kids just to make himself look better, etc... But the kids are doing well. They've gotten adjusted to having a step-father and step-brothers. My oldest doesn't like having a male authority figure but he's getting better with it (He's 14 and doesn't want any authority figure! LOL)

I'm glad things have finally come around for you! Hearing that has made my day!!! I know what you mean about the age thing too! I'm 35 and never really dreaded any birthday, but I'm not looking forward to my 40th! Maybe because I know that when I'm 40, my oldest will be 20 and probably moved out on his own. Not looking forward to that at all! Just wish I could keep 'em with me forever.

It's so good hearing from you. Take care and drop by once in a while!

Hey Mitzi!!! Still waiting to hear from Tom... where are you Dewayne?

Everything is going well with me and G. We still haven't gotten M yet, seems like there is always something going on. It's not like we don't want to.

Early this year I decided to retire from the ambulance biz, the old back told me that it was tired of carting fat people up and down steps. Neither of my kids wanted to take over and insurance companies suck, so... I sold the biz and am living the good life. Not bad, retire at 44, yes I'm still older than you, but, only in metric years!!!

G most recently got a position at a dental office as the Billing Administrator, so I most recently accepted the position of Mr. Mom.

Just got back from the orthodontist with Ian earlier in the day, he had to have an appliance placed to spread his jaw and I was elected to advance the screw mechanism every night. You could tell G was a little upset that she was at work and I'm spending more time with her kids than she is. The kids are coming to me to ask for permission to play video games or go to friends homes.

Another potention problem is that my Mother is currently staying with us following major eye surgery. She is getting medication every two hours or so to fight the infection. I have family and friends that are willing to help out, but, Mom seems more comfy here. I don't seem to have enough time for everyone's EN.

Tomorrow I have 3 doctor appointments to make. One for Mom, Chels and Ian. This Mom thing is harder than I thought.

I also was wondering about Butterfly. I'm sure she is busy too.

Ugh... old timers...

Congratulations on the early retirement, Medic!!! Although by the sounds of your retirement schedule, I bet you take a "real job" to get some rest within two years...
