Hi guys,

Just wanted to post a quick note to quash any rumours that some how the Marriage Builders Ladies site was intentionally hacked by someone.

The site was attacked, and successfully "defaced". It was my fault, because the security hole in the bulletin board software had been published and fixed over a month ago - and I didnt notice until today. About an hour before the site was attacked this morning, I posted a note stating I was going to upgrade everything.

So, I was already preparing to move everything, the database was already backed up. What I lost was minimal.

This was an attack most likely by some script kiddie with too much time on his hands over Christmas break. The exploit was widely published and it was only a matter of time before MBL site was hit. Incidently, there were more than a few BBs hit today, enough so that there was mention of it on the Securityfocus mailing lists.

I sincerely doubt there was any other purpose and had NOTHING to do with any of the members, and discussions, NOTHING, either there, or here.

So no panic, ok? I have to replace the pages of the site that I lost and reconfigure the database to work with the new code. Its 2 days before Christmas. I'm a bit BUSY - but everything will be back and running soon as I can get it done.

Thanks for letting us know. I think I can survive the lack for a few days. My personal opinion is to focus on Xmas and your family more than the site. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

(Waving her 2x4) Hi Orchid! Maybe that's why my ears are burning! I've always been here, just mostly in lurk mode a few minutes a day, keeping tabs on people I know. I'm just really busy, and my marriage is well beyond affairs and triggers - in fact a few weeks ago, our daughter (yep, the one I was pregnant when I kicked H out) named her aquarium crab "Georgie". Georgie was the name of H's OW's oldest son. I didn't even make the connection - until my husband came to me and admitted he was a little weirded out by her choice of names...

Honestly...I think he lives with the affair more than I do. He still apologizes on occaision.

So yeah, family is doing good!

If you need me, yell, I'll see if I can rummage up a new 2x4 - well padded though I think. Enuff pain here - no different than our "time" huh?

OH and to get back to the topic at hand...
