Wow,

I was posting and then I noticed my registration date. It is a year today. A lot has changed.

First and foremost I really want to thank everyone here.

Rin, SL, Pep, Mel, Mrs W., Banyak, and others that have posted and helped me. I know I have missed a lot of people who don't even know they helped me.

So much has changed this last year. I struggled since d day to find my Way and couldn't and then I found this place an boom things are better.

I want to say I don't consider myself a success because I am in recovery. I consider myself a success because I KNOW I AM A BETTER PERSON today then I was a year ago at this time.

That is what I see now as important. I am glad my FWW has decided to see me for who I am and not who she made me out to be.

Right now we are talking about her going back east for a wedding. That is what she went back for when she had her A.

It was weird because in the past I didn't say what I wanted too.

Today she was asking me about it and I told her you know I hontestly can't give you an opinion on it becuase it would be very biased.

She called later and said she understood and she wouldn't go if it hurt or bothered me because or M is the most important thing in the world to her.

That meant a lot of course.

Now I honestly wouldn't be hear today if it weren't for this board. I never carried my own thread for very long. I usually posted on others but the flow of informaiton was what helped me.

Knowing others have been where I was and made it through was helpful.

I want to thank you all for helping me become a better person.
Frognomore,

What a difference a year makes, eh?

I appreciate this line from your post:

U R a success and it makes me very happy.

Orchid,

See i forgot you right thank you too!!!!.

I think it is the hardest thing to see but once you do it all makes sense.

You are very welcome
Ditto, what more can I say?
Thank you Rin,

You know how I feel about you and your story!!!!!
Same as you I think, "I'm the success!"
Frog, you have done amazingly well and I, personally, am happy that I was around to see it.

You go get that waxing done and have a good weekend!
You have a great attitude Frog. I don't see how you could be anything other than a success in anything you attempt.

Positive people like you help us all to be positive. It's catchy. So thank you.
Thanks SL,

Just realized I am outta wax. Darn it.
Hey, you know that there are a few of us who are back to back... think we can use this thread to celebrate that...

It would be nice if MB had a little icon for that like they do the b-day one!
Frog I have to say that not only have you gotten help but you have others as well. I know you helped me and I wanted to thank you for that. Coming here has been such a big help for my H and I. I am so glad I didn't go down the road I started to when I first came here. I now realize I would have risk so much and now I can see how precious my DH is to me.

For that I thank you all. Mimi,Windstopped,LG, Marsh,Orchid,Mulan,Suzet and if I forgot anyone it is not intentional but know that you all have been very helpful. My H , Family and I thank you.
Frog...Wow, thank YOU for mentioning me...I had no idea that anything I've ever said has helped you...I'm humbled by that...This truly is an amazing community isn't it? I've been helped by so many here that I know will never know it...I'd have to post 24/7 to tell them all and even then, I know that I would forget to mention someone...Yesterday was two years post dday for us...Amazing how much things change...I'm so glad to be where we are today...Grateful is such a small word for such a HUGE thing, huh?

I think that you are a FABULOUS member of this community Frog...I can always count on you to make me laugh...You are HILARIOUS...You know, everytime I see your name here I always think of a phrase that my North Georgia Mountain born and raised Mama says when you ask her how she's doing...She says, "I'm as fine as a frog's hair!"...Funnier still now that I see you talking about waxing!

Also, my nickname for my mom is "Froggy" because she can never just be still and relax-always busy and productive that woman! Hmmm...Frog, is it weird that you remind me of my Mama??? LOL! Take it as a compliment! My Mama is a great lady and I adore her!!!

Ah well, all this to say...Happy MB Anniversary Frog!!! Glad ya made it-knew ya would!

Mrs. W
I knew I forgot someone. Mrs W. You helped me as well. With all of your wonderful anniversary ideas. We had a great time. We ended up seeing Perfect Stranger which was very good by the way, and going to Killer Creek. My H chose since I picked the movie. It was wonderful. They asked was there a special occasion and we said yes our anniversary and the Matrie D sorry if I spelled it wrong told us Happy Anniversary then she sprinkled confetti on the table and our waitress told us Happy Anniversary and after we had a great meal she gave us a free anniversary desert that said Happy Anniversary for us to share.

I told my H thank you for picking such a great restaurant and we had a really great time and that morning we went to the GA aquarium and we all had a great time.
And Mulan,

Geez Mulan see that is why i was hesitent to mention names.

Mrs. W thank you for the kind words and I do think it is a compliment. My sense of humor makes people love me or hate me. LOL. Usually the ones that don't get it hate me.

Rin, Feel free it may be my longest running thread. LOL.

Really guys thank you this is a blessing.
LOL...I know one!

Don't you feel like one of those actor on TV having won an award trying to remember who all they need to thank...

...AND GOD...I wouldn't have made it here without him!

(That's not the one I was referring too!) LMAO SSSHHHHH!
LMAO,

I know, some keep coming back to me. Silver pool was another and oh that God guy.

LOL. I should just say everyone.

You really love me.

Somebody's been tellin' tales out of school as they say! And it was a street CORNER anyway you bonehead!!!

I never did answer your question about where in Buckhead that Mr. W and I met Frog...It was on Buckhead Ave...Right off Peachtree (OF COURSE! lol)...Outside of a reggae bar called CJ's Landing...Later we went to American Pie in Sandy Springs...Dang that was a LONG time ago...

Mrs. W
The last company I worked at was HQ'd in Atlanta and we would go to buckhead when I was in town.

The Hotel had a shuttle and it was right within the free drive.

Fun place. Can't believe DIG has never been. LOL>

On a corner that is so much better. LOL>
Hey Mrs W you gave me another helpful tip. My H loves Reggae. Now I know where to go after we have dinner at Hal's. Yeah Frog believe me if I hadn't found this board I would have been gone. I did alot of things on my own because my H didn't like to like to go but I realize that me going and him staying was not helping our M so now that I know something he can enjoy there I know he will be more willing to go. This board is helpful in so many ways. You guys are the best. I love it here!!

Now the only independent behavior I participate in is taking the kids out to give him quiet time and I am sure he doesn't mind that. LOL
Congrats, frogman!!

I have to admit--the image of a short hairy frog is ... well ...that is quite an image, I must say!

I love it when you kids come on here and say, "Oh, I've been here so long! A whole YEAR!"

DIG...I'd check that out first...I have no clue what CJ's Landing is like NOW...Mr. W and I met in 1992...Not too far fetched to think that some things may have changed 'round those parts in 15 years time!

Mrs. W
Mrs. W/

They probably have changed a lot. LOL.

Do not go to the place with the swing in the window. It is called Makos'

CJ
I don't really have hair on my back but the rest is true. LOL.

I aspire to be an old fart. Well maybe not I am up in the air about that one.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Ok has everyone been here and took in all of the cool site but me. I feel so left out. The good thing about is that at least I know where to & not to go. Thanks for the good advice. I will check on CJ Landings.

Frog what's wrong with Makos'? DO tell.
DIG...

Here's the link to ~~~> CJ's Mr. W and I just took a walk down memory lane and visited the site...No mention of Reggae-Hmmmm...They used to have really cool Bob Marley T-shirts...They do have something called ???Beer Pong???-that Mr. W was familar with from his frat days...LOL...Not only that, but Vince Neil and Dokken have played there recently...Wow, talk about career dives...But I digress...If I were you I'd give them a call to find out the status of the reggae...It did used to be a really fun place...Ah youth...LOL...

And Frog...DUDE, isn't Makos a GAY bar???

Mrs. W
I have to say you guys are a riot. Doesn't it feel good to think about when you feel in love with your H. I know when we went home for spring break that it warmed my heart when we passed by our old stomping ground. I will call and check it out. Thanks for finding the link. I really appreciate it.
Ok MRs. W it is not a Gay bar anymore(just kidding)

The fine establishment in question actually has a swing in the window.

It is like a club but the owner has hit on a pretty good concept.

There are both attractive men and women that work there. The women wear very little and so do the men. The men wear kilts. They blow fire at certain points on the bar, they use fire extinguishers to blow napkins all over.

It is pretty rowdy. But it was crowded everytime I was there.

Quote

Dig you may be confused by Mrs. W's gay comment but I don't have an H. LOL.

In all actuallity Dig I feel this way because I have realized how much I love and respect myself.

It is a nice thing my FWW feels the same and is trying to show it.
Frog you are so crazy. I didn't think that for one minute you were gay or a woman. I said that comment because she said she and Mr. W were looking at CJ Landing site and remincing.LOL I am dying laughing.

I have to say with all of the sad stories they have here it is good that so many of you have such great senses of humor it breaks up the sadness. I know I love to laugh and good for the soul. So you guys keep posting your funnies. I am sure they are appreciated by all.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY FROGSTER!!! Whatever you say...I hear there's a GREAT "not a gay anymore bar" in Chicago called "THE MAN HOLE"-You should check it out if you're ever there...You believe me, right???

Mrs. W

P.S. Back when I was single I had certain dating "rules"...Guys I dated could not have longer hair or prettier earrings than me...Based on what you've told me here I should have added "or shorter skirts"!

Ok that didn't sound good. So let me say this. At a certain point the girls remove all clothing excpet what you can find in a victoria's secrets catalog. LOL.

So I guess my point which I didn't articulate very well was there is something to look at for boys and girls if they are inclined and it is a rowdy have fun atmosphere. LOL.

For your rules when you were dating do Mullets count if they were longer then you?

Mrs. W

Ok I had to find this post.LOL I was watching Sesame Street with my baby this morning and they were telling Rapunzal and Zoe wished she had longer hair so she could be like Rapunzal and the Hairy Godfather showed up to grant her wish and when he finished he sad sorry I have to they have a mullet in Michigan that needs that needs tending to. I fell out laughing. Of course I thought of this theard.LOL

What makes it so funny is that Mrs. W was talking about a Mullet and she lives in MI.

Mrs. W do you think it's one of your mullet from the past? If so you should be happy that he realized what a distaster his hair style was and he can get the girl from his next blind date? LOL
If you have a mullet and you have a blind date it is not the kind you were thinking about.

His date was actually Blind. That is the only explanation for anyone going out with someone with a Mullet.

Unless of course you are Mrs W.

bizznezz in the front parrrty in the back as long as the back wasn't longer then hers I guess was the rule.

Oh I miss sesame street.
Frog I wish I could say I miss sesame street. I still watch everyday. LOL.

You are too funny BTW. Mrs. W is going to get you for that.

How about I took my two oldest DD's to the Dr. 2day and on the forms they gave me to feel out it says does the child have frequent headaches. I ask the Dr did he mean does she have or does she give. I would definitely go for the former. LOL.
Well, I've made it throught a year as of today...

Funny, this date was more important to me that D-day...I have been egarly awaiting today...

D-day came and went and I didn't notice until the next day!

There's to mant to name, so thanks to everyone, for everything, words of wisdom, support, a hug, a friendly smile, you name it!

And Happy Mother's day to all!
