Hey, y'all.
Thanks for the warm welcome back. I've been lurking a lot lately, not posting much because it's hard to keep my civility sometimes. Plus, I've been busy with work, so I haven't had much time to actually compose.
Suse:
I haven't seen YOU around much for quite sometime. Was surprised to see you pop up on Energizer Bunny's thread too. Thought you and Duncky had moved on to greener pastures.
Tell him to email me and say "hi." I miss "talking" with y'all.
Catnip:
Sounds like a very interesting situation you're dealing with. Your lawyer sounds ambitious. I can't imagine a jury (especially in Dallas) awarding damages for alienation of affection in this day and age. Although, Dallas County is a very conservative county. It might be just the right venue for a "moral" judgment of this type. Best of luck to you.
BTW, I hope you're not paying this guy a retainer and hourly fee for the alienation case. I wouldn't put it past an unscrupulous lawyer to run up fees on a claim in which the outcome might be highly uncertain. I don't know your lawyer, so I don't know what his motives are, but there are some sharks out there. Watch out!
