I have been debating with my wife what she considers to be an unforgivable infidelity. She feels that being unfaithful for sex is the worst thing someone could do. If you fall in love with another person well at least you risk it all for love. It is clear that men and women think differently. I believe if a man falls in love with another women he is more likely to leave his spouse than a women would. Unfaithful men are usually motivated by sex and want to maintain their marriages as well. Unfortunately, many women are seduced by men who proclaim feelings and love for a women when all they really want is sex. What do you all think?
[ February 18, 2002: Message edited by: Richritchey ]

We just had this debate a couple of weeks ago...about which was worse...PA or EA...
I think the consensus was that both are equally bad, they just have different characteristics and different reasons..etc.
Plenty of BSs whose spouses had PAs only wish that their spouses had had EAs instead...and vice versa.
Personally, I think that people make mistakes and get lost in life. They have both PAs and EAs. As long as the WS is remorseful and takes responsibility for their behaivor...I don't think any type is "unforgivable". It just depends on the couple, the circumstances and the dynamic that led to the affair.
