A very happy birthday to the love of my life!


He doesn't know about his cake yet, pineapple upside-down - would have been one of his favorites.

Apparently even my largest pan isn't enough to hold two cake mixes. I baked and baked and baked the cake to make sure it was done in the middle, and it was VERY brown on top when I went to slide it gently out of the oven.

At the first little pull, waves rippled across the whole top like a waterbed. So I eased it back in, turned the oven down to 250, and have been baking and baking it and baking it some more.

It looks like it may have worked, but I'm just not sure. Oh well - Birthday Boy gets the first piece.

Well I never! Really, I mean it. Our sink here is very fragile, as sinks go. We don't lean heavily on it to brush our teeth.

AJ hasn't seen this yet, since I was lagging and got it posted late. He'll doubtless be on when he gets home from work. Right now he's over at the pastor's house installing some stuff, and later he'll stop by the house with the crazy squirrel.

A pet, too, not just loco wildlifus.

Life has been busy. Putting entertainment in for people keeps my VERY busy. I sew all the time - you know, Sleep, Eat, and Work.

Besides crazy squirrels, I have seen a crazy ferret, all kinds of exotic birds, oh, and YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS.

I hope everyone else is doing well, too. My cake was good.
