Well,
I used to teach comptuers, so let me butt in here and maybe I can help.
The easiest way to add a link to a post is to look below the text box and you will see two columns of buttons called Instant UBB Code. On the top of the left hand column, you see a button marked URL.
I'm assuming you have the other website open in another browser window, so you can easily cut and paste the URL.
So in the MB message posting window wack (that is the technical term) the URL button in the stack of Instant UBB Code buttons. A dialog box should appear asking you for the URL. Either copy and paste the URL into that dialog box, or for the really adventurous, just type it in by hand. So I entered by hand
http://crap.comWack (gotta use the right terms here) the OK button and you will be prompted for a title or description of your URL. So here I enter
Crap dot Com and again wack OK. Here is what I get:
Crap dot Com And I just added a url for Crap.com <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />
Once you do that, you will see the actual UBB code, so you can see how to enter them in by hand without the prompts. (Much quicker and more fufilling than wacking, BTW)
