Volunteering together at your local school, church, fund raiser, shelter, food bank, etc. can be fun. Especially if you are volunteering in the same place but not directly with each other.
(example: recently my husband and I volunteered at a school fundraiser. I was in one part, he helped with another. I really enjoyed watching him interact with the kids and parents... when he didn't know I was watching him.) It makes me smile just remembering seeing him 'in his element' as if I was watching a man I hadn't 'met' yet but found attractive and interesting and wanted to meet.
