I don't know how to use 'Search' on this new MB. Can someone help me?

[color:"navy"]There is an old post SOMEWHERE that I am wanting to find.

It is how a lady decided amidst all the heartache of her WH that she would just be HAPPY.

She started ACTING happy, playing with the kids, baking cookies, fixing up, just being genuinely content with life. (Making the most of it, realizing we only have one chance.)

Anyway, I want to find it.
I remember one sentence had something to do with her H finally coming out of his 'cave' to see why they were having so much fun.

I thought I would type 'cave' in the search and got NO results.

I must be doing something wrong?

Any suggestions?

You can still search on the old forum. If it is an old post, I'd go back to that forum to search.

I was going to do that but now it has changed!

Now when we click on 'Enter Discussion Forum'
it takes people to THIS New Site.
(Which I thought it should do, as many were at the
old message board, unable to post.)

Supposedly, all the old posts (topics) are on this NEW board.

If you could find that thread I was referring to, please post it here.
It was a very encouraging and uplifting message.

BT,

You might benefit by using one of the advanced searched methods.


Use +keyword for required keywords.
Use -keyword to exclude posts with a keyword.
Use quotes around a phrase to search for a phrase.
Example:
" baked cookies "
Use spaces around the word to match the exact word.
Example:
" cookies "
" cave "
" baked "

Enter as much search info as you can. If you know the posters name or the forum or narrow it down by approximately when it was posted.

Newer than 2 years
Older than 6 months

...means at least 6 months ago but not longer than 2 years ago.

I tried typing in 'search' something I know should be there.
Mozilla Firefox because I have written a lot about it.
I put user name: 'Blessed TIME' and it said 'NO MATCHES'

Does it work for the rest of you?

I tried using " " around the search words. nadda.

Thanks for any more suggestions.
Will you please try it and let me know what you do to make it work. Thanks so much.

It works fine for me.

I typed " popcorn " in the search window. Searched in subject and body. Newer than 2 years. This is what I got. Suprisingly lots of chatter about popcorn. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

search results

The specific search word popcorn is bolded in each hit.

I carefully followed your instructions.

Where I was doing it wrong was I needed to write
newer than two years and older than 14 months.
And I wasnt checking on show preview

I ACTUALLY FOUND THE ARTICLE I WAS LOOKING FOR by
typing in the word 'cave'.

It was by Star*Fish.

I will start a new thread with this wonderful article.
