Sorry to read True and 2 were hurting last night. Hope today is a better day.

Had a strange day yesterday myself, but a great talk with H.
I told him that I had read that these sad feelings will pop up every couple of months. He was very sympathetic about it. Thank you God. I used to be so afraid of releasing my feelings...now, I just go for it, what's the worse that could happen? as it already has.

Oh and Rocked...are you sitting? I was a "flag girl" in HS too as well as on "chain crew" (football fans will know what this is). I LOVE FOOTBALL & Soccer, oh, and HOCKEY.

So in other words you were a distraction to the football players?

Rocked,

The celebration...hmmmmm...it was ok. It was hard b/c everytime I would try and be nice, my H would bring up that he did not deserve anything nice and that he was an evil person. I just reminded him that I love him and that I did not view him as evil. I even wrote him a very nice email telling him how proud I am of the work he is doing in his job and in our marriage. I held my tongue so many times and tried as hard as I could not to ask one single question(I did not ask one, BTW). So, he was thinking about it even though I tried to make it a nonissue yesterday

Yes, I was about to type that I thought 2 must be in that delusional hunger state when she said that football was the only real sport...and Holiday, I grew up in Chicago and I still don't like the Bears You must be a true fan!

Anyway, hope everybody is well. I will check in later.

Holiday...Flag girls RULE!!!

I got my flag out the other day and my daughters were twirling it with me. It was fun! Then my dog tried to get in on the act and catch the flag as I was spinning it! i threw it up in the air and he actually jumped up after it!!! Silly dog!

Thanks Rocked. It was hard, but at the same time I felt accomplished because I needed to get it done. I was just wrapping up when my H called me and I told him I was down and why. He just said he was sorry.

What journals do you have for your kids? I'm not sure if I've ever heard of that.

On another note, I break my fast with dinner today! It has been surprisingly easier than I thought...which has made me wonder why I've got 30lbs to lose? But actually this fast helped me to figure that out alot too. Obviously I have the will power. Nothing solid for 2 straight days.

My time of fasting has 1) taught me a lot about the subject. Doing a study while doing a fast has made me relate to a lot ot the reasons noted in the bible...very interesting. 2) Brought God to the forefront of my mind again. Everytime I want to eat (which is often) I'm reminded that I have chosen to deny my flesh that God may know the seriousness of my prayer that the OW leave. As a result, I have offered up this and many other prayers often during the day, during this fast. 3)There is something about being in a weak state (like right after d-day) that draws us close to God. When we are weak, God is strong. I have had to rely more on HIS daily bread more than food.

Very successful fast in accomplishing the goals listed above. I hope God will grant me my request.

Thought I'd share that with you.

Good for you 2!
True, flag girls rule!
And no Rocked, cheerleaders were too stuck up to even want to try out with.
Chaincrew did distract the football players.
My H is from Chicago area. (I really am a BILLS fan at heart, born in upstate NY).
Off to "kickbox" class. Wish me luck as my days of "coordination" are faaaaarrrrrr behind me.

Yeah, Rocked..most people look at flags that way, but in my school some of the poplular girls did it, b/c it combined dancing and flagging(plus we got to wear some cool outfits during some of the shows..not those funkie ones you see some flag corps wearing)...I was not one of the popular kids but I always happy that some of them tried out!

2, I am glad your fast went so well. Again...I would not be able to do it. I am glad it brought you some clarity and I will continue to pray for you as well.

Holiday, I wish I could joing you at your kickboxing class...I love kickboxing...maybe I will go do my TaeBo tapes just to remember how fun kickboxing is!
I miss my gym. It was awesome(with free daycare and everything). That hour every day made me feel awesome. It's a shame that in the time I was starting to like myself, my H ruins it by having an affair with my exact opposite! Sorry...don't mean to get negative.

Anyway, I guess I need to go do some laundry..woo hoo...exciting stuff, huh?

Hey Rocked, I'm with you. The DORKS did flag where I was from! The cool chicks (like me) were cheerleaders! That is where I learned to love football too (the only real sport).

Holiday, you sound like my h. When we met he was a big dumb jock who liked football, basketball and baseball. Football season was always the most romantic time of the year for us. I put up with the other sports. But once he started working in Sports, now he loves everything, hockey, soccer, golf...it is ridiculous! ESPN or some other sport is ALWAYS on in my house! I'm waiting for him to get into fly fishing!

Now there's a beer commercial for you...Flag G i r l s Fly Fishing! It would be shown inbetween segments of the Victoria Secret Golf Tournament.

What would ya do w/o me in this group to lighten things up a bit? (Talk about scrap booking or something probably!)

Ok... I will admit that I was a dork in high school. But I still love flag twirling! I was also a cheerleader in jr. high...does that count? Hee hee

Anyway, it sounds like everybody is in a good mood today...what a blessing. I hope we can all stay this way for at least a day...hopefully a week, month, year...ok, ok, I know I am dreaming...but what the hay.

Okay, I was also on the "badminton team", yikes. I was a surfer chick in my day. Went to school near Huntington Beach (2 will know where this is). I was cool and made flag cool too (sounds good in theory as I write this, ha!)

I like cheerleaders too, they just had a certain "air" about them and we always wanted to "kick their *sses", ha. (No really, my two best friends were cheerleaders, I just preferred to watch the games from the stands, not look at the stands during the game or play.)

2, I sound like your H??? Oh no! I really only like sports LIVE and I really don't like baseball much (boring). I'm not much for the TV COMMERCIALS version.

My H was a big football jock too but I graduated 4 years before him. He was always in the newspapers (talk about ego!!!)

Well, off to the pool. It's already 101 here, yeeha!!!

My H was BIG jock too, also younger than me. I think we discussed this before.

Anyway, I was a cheerleader AND on the Speech and Debate team. What an difference. I had 2 groups of friends my parents called the A team (debate friends who went to good colleges) and the B team, my cheer and jock friends. Loved them both!

Anyway, I do know where Huntington Beach is. We are having a hot day today too. Think I'll let the kids play in the back yard and SCRAPBOOK! Rocked what kind of journal do you have for your kids?

No journal. I'm a "Man's Man!"

You wanna know what a c h e e r l e a d e r on the Speech and Debate teams is?

A chick who argues about where to go hang out and gossip.

Rocked...that joke was bad!

You guys are not going to believe this, but my H is younger than me, too. Amazing, huh?

2, I had the two, no actually three, sets of friends. I had my nerdy friends who, I loved(they were all guys), b/c they were so genuine. My band friends...the ones who told my H not to date me b/c I would break his heart!!!!! And my "cooler" friends. We were held together by the guy I dated before my H. When he and I broke up..so did the gang. I talked to them off and on, but never quite the same.

I was a speech person, but it always interferred with the musicals and drama productions and flags too, so I stuck with those. Yes, I was one of those theater people, too! My one friend from the southern part of the state called us the cornchips Funny, huh? I wore the black and red lip stick..like the new age music...Depeche Mode was my favorite back then. All those old memories...hee hee.

2, you asked about journals. Well, I started one before my first daughter was born...just addressing the entries to my kids(yes, even before she was born). Things that are happening in my life. I have debated about writing about this. I think that someday it will be ok for them to look back and say...oh, that is why mom was like that...that is why we could no longer talk about dad's friend, J. They are not supposed get it until I die, anyway, so I think I might. I don't know.
I also keep scrapbooks for them, and a Daddy's memory book for each child which is updated every Father's Day. It has their hand/footprints, a picture they drew, some memories(now that D#1 is old enough she will write her own) and of course pictures. In fact, I better get started on that right now!

Thanks for letting me relive those "golden days"

You all are such good Moms when it comes to those special touches. What a blessing to your kids.

I won't say anything True about your music choices and styles back then. (And I'm glad you can't see my face right now!!!)

Well, now I like all music except Country..is that better?

What are you talking about styles...isn't all black supposed to make you slimmer?? Hee hee

Hey, you just said it not me! How can you not like country when you live in the middle of nowhere with nothin but corn fields all around? Yeah, black makes you slimmer...that's why they dress d e a d people in it. So they look good on their way out.

I'm sure you're some fine slim chick who is just humbly pulling the wool over all our eyes to make us chubbies feel good.

BTW, Tuba players never dated cornchippers.
