cancergirl - Robby is in Florida. Also Tree Reich. We went through the hurricane last year, and it was very scary.

I am not really freaking much, but again, I dont freak out for natural disasters.
Just came from getting more non-perishables and all. Keep safe!

Tallahassee.
I have all my emergency supplies lined up and all. You should get your stuff ready by the start of hurricane season, it really makes you feel much safer, overall with kids.
You should check out the hurricane kits and checklists and get them ready. http://www.tallytown.com/redcross/ds/

Sorry to hear about the new threat cometh your way. H has been called out to join in the 'recovery' work with Fema. Guess that hurricane(s) are expected to do some damage.

Please be safe. If you see an inspector who says he is from HI, ask him if he knows Orchid. LOL!!!! Wouldn't that be a hoot.

RacerX is out that way also. I think Coach is too, but we haven't heard from him in about a week. Kinda worried.

cancergirl, I'm in Clearwater. We will feel the effects and never say never, but try not to worry too much. Even St Pete and Tampa didn't get it too bad last year.

I'm saying my prayers for all MB-ers in the Florida, Alabama, Lousiana stretch. Have some relatives who are leaving here in Michigan for home in Florida and Alabama today. Maybe they ought to extend their vacation a bit, eh?

I have a friend I work with who just left with his family last night to drive to Florida for vacation. Headed for the Gulf, too. Says he'll take a long detour depending on where Dennis heads.

I feel for you guys. All we have to deal with up here is some crummy rain once Dennis comes ashore down there.

I really don't want to go ... I have to stay for 13 days. USARollerSports might move the championship if Dennis hits hard the area. We will see.

Any Floridians have any latest news on the airports? My parents are flying to their Hobe Sound home (hopefully tomorrow and via West Palm Beach Intl.)

Anyone know if these airports are likely to be closed? I can't find anything.

PBIA

It's on hte other side of the state so I doubt it will be closed.

Tampa had some delays but is flying now.
