I have read on this site that recreation should be shared bteween both spouses. However, is there ever a time when spouses should do some recreational activities separately? There are moments when you just need to get away. This is one of many issues I am dealing with and I would like to know the good Dr.'s opinion, but am new to this site and don't see how to email him.

I'm sure not the good doctor....but My H and I really don't do anything without each other now. Our one concession is running.....we are both solitary runners and it gives us good thinking time. On the occassion his job requires him to go to functions that he used to go to alone, now I go with him if at all possible. I hope this helps a little!
