"The Potter"

I am a broken vessel
Just fragments of the clay
I wonder if I will ever be
Whole again some day

But the Potter always watches
He sees each crack and scar
And some day will make me over
To stand up straight and tall

Please hurry! Mr. Potter!
The time is slipping away
I need some hope, don't take too long
The pain is much to great!

So with loving hands He lifts me
To a place high off the floor
And gently makes me over
to be better than before

And says my child don't worry
With words of comfort say
One day things will be different
In a place that's far away

My wheel will then be silent
No need for it to spin
Where time has no beginning
And joy will never end

For you have a hope eternal
That no one can take away
I am Jesus your Lord and Savior
The Potter who molds the clay

Isn't it great when God molds us into something beautiful again. God took an ugly broken me and has molded me into one of the most useful and beautiful pots.
We were talking along these lines in my SA meeting this morning. How has the SA program and God changed you to make you sober was the question we were answering today.
Great poem!!!!!

Love in Christ

helpgk,

Thank you for that wonderful rhyme and reminder that God uses even us old cracked pots for His Glory.

You will know

You will know, but I pray to GOD that it never gets that far. The space between, feels like the distance from the moon to the closest star.
You will know, when the looks becomes a glossy heartless stare. In there eyes, the love has dwindled into deepest dispair. Pray you find, strength and time, and a Abba Father to rewrite each line. Vow to hold, vow to keep, vow to love has been asleep. Faith will find, for the spirit that connects with his word. Speak it out, remind Him of the promises you read and heard. Turn to me, turn to them, say a pray for us again my friend. You will know, but I pray to GOD it never gets that point.
