So, there is a lawn-service provider who decided that parking on my side of the street while attending to the house across the way was what he wanted to do. This practice resulted in his employees exiting the trailer onto my lawn, and on least one occasion, resting a weed-wacker, leaking oil, on my property.

I (politely) approached the owner, and suggested he park on the side of the street adjacent to the client's property. Being an cooperative fellow, he basically said, "Go **edit** yourself!"

I did not take his advice.

Instead, I found out where he lived (fortunately in a similar suburban neighborhood). I borrowed a pickup from my friend. I drove said pickup to his neighborhood, around dinner-time, parked in front of a neighboring house, sitting myself in a lawnchair, in the truck-bed, shirtless, with really bad country music ("Don't Mess With Texas!") playing moderately loud, and a painted sheet displaying the following message: "Brought to you in cooperation with your neighbor, Mr XYZ".

The sheriffs were summoned and asked me to leave. I asked under what authority I was being denied my right to park on a public thoroughfare. There was much radio consultation, consuming many minutes and several repetitions of those same songs. Finally, having made my point, I left before Deputy Nazi came up with an answer.

I returned the next day, but at a different neighbor's house. We played the same game.

The next day, Mr. XYZ's Lawn Service truck and trailer were parked more to my liking.

I returned my friend's pickup. I kept the lawnchair, the sheet, and the awful music tape.

Sorry! I forgot it's only north of the Mason/Dixon that such antics would be grating and obnoxious. In the Deep South such behavior approaches...Sunday Church Services! grin

I think you need a hobby.

Another option would be to throw dog crap all over his truck when he's not looking and plead ignorance

Let's face it, NG--you're a closet Southerner.

Lose what I suspect is a very "grating and obnoxious" accent and you'd fit in just fine down here!
