I would like to find out if anyone has used mSpy to be able to snoop on their spouse's iPhone 5. I want to use something to see everything that is happening on my spouse's phone. I can have access to the phone and know her passcode, but I'm nervous about jailbreaking it too. Any experience out there?

I've used Mspy for over two years. It is a pretty decent spyware. It gives you text message content, record of all incoming and outgoing calls, browsing history, list of all apps downloaded to the phone, recordings of all calls, list of contacts saved on phone, and other features. I mainly use it for recording of surroundings. You can send a command to record at any specific time you want. I believe it has a feature to track facebook and whats up application, but I don't use those.

I looked into other spyware before renewing last month, but did not find anything else that looks better. It also has GPS, but that is not very reliable in my case.

I think you are in perfect timing to get it if you have an iphone, because they just released an update and it is now available to work with ios 7. I hope that helps you make your decision.

This is what the website says about the new update release:

The new version of mSpy for iOS 7 is finally released!
We have once again modified our product and are ready to present upgraded mSpy v4.1.21 for iOS devices! There were some major features update and changes:

Viber tracking is finally released!
The application is now optimized to iOS 7, however, it is still compatible with iOS 6.1.2 or lower
Surrounding Recordings are improved, no need to Grant the access to the mic anymore
Photos feature is improved and fixed, pictures are now uploaded in a proper way (without Corrupted status)
Browser history feature is improved and fixed, the information about the Browsing history is uploaded in a proper way

There were numerous small bug fixes as well.

So you can start using the latest iOS build version which will be automatically downloaded during the installation process.

In a nutshell:
In order to install any spyware on iPhone you'll have to jailbreak the IOS.
Jailbreak software is available for IOS 7.0 through 7.06. If your iPhone has 7.1 or higher then there isn't any way to jailbreak right now:

Jailbreak is available through Evasion, very easy to do, takes 10 minutes:
http://evasi0n.com

Once jailbroken, follow instructions from Mspy to install spyware.

Mspy will give you a log of phone calls, txt, apps used, Chat, emails etc..

before you jaibreak: Make sure you do a backup of iPhone on Computer NOT iCloud. This way you can always restore if something goes wrong.

Pros:
You'll be able to monitor the phone

Cons:
If the user of the iPhone does an IOS upgrade, it will delete Mspy.

**************
Other possible way to do some monitoring without Spyware:
**************
For this purpose, lets assume that you know and have:
1- Passcode to access phone (if any)
2- You know the iCloud account (username and password) of iPhone.
3- You have access to iTunes.
4- You have an Apple device (mac, iPad)
5- The iPhone5 is syncing emails, notes, calendar, etc..

On iPad go to:

settings>Messages> turn on iMessage> sign in using same account number as iPhone you want to monitor.

On a Mac Goto:
Application> Messages> sign in with same account as iPhone.

This will give you a way to monitor txt messages when sent as iMessage.

Also from any computer you can:
go to:
Web browser>iCloud.com>sign in using iCloud account> this will give you access to emails, contacts, notes etc..

One other way to do some monitoring:
iTunes:

Let say you have 2 iPhones:
1- Open iTunes and backup iPhone 1 (to computer not iCloud)
2- Backup iPhone2 as well (same to computer, not iCloud).
3- Plug iphone 1 now and restore backup from iPhone 2 onto iPhone 1.

Now iPhone 1 will have last history of emails, notes, txt, photos etc.. of iphone2.
you can go through all you want, when done, restore iphone1 from backup1.

I am considering doing this but was wondering:
1) How do you back-up not on iCloud? Can I back-up to my iTunes?
2) Approximately how long do you think I need to jailbreak and then install the spyware on the phone?

It's been a while since I used an Iphone, but usually you have the option of a local backup (computer/laptop) or Icloud/ Itunes backup.

As for the jailbreak, I think as soon as the jailbreak is done you can proceed

You can get real good advice on Jailbreaking on mobile Gaming Forums.
A lot of mobile game addicts will jailbreak their phones so they can play under multiple profiles.

I'm not sure how to "local backup." What does that mean?

Also, I meant how long (in terms of minutes) do you think the entire process of jailbreaking and then installing spyware would take. smile Thank you!

When I had an Iphone, the local backup was what was done when you didnt have an internet connection.

You can probably google it for more info.

But the gaming forums are experts at jailbreaking phones. You can probably go to a palringo group and just search for jailbreaking. But dont let anyone do it for you, there are also thieves that will try to steal your phones ID

***Local Backups***

1)- Plug iPhone to Computer
2)- Open iTunes
3) Highlight "your iPhone" in Library pane
4)- Select "summary" tab
5) Scroll down you should see title "Automatically Back Up"
6)-Check mark "This Computer"
You can also checkmark Encrypt iPhone Backup, make sure you save the password for future use.

****JailBreak****

As Jedi said, you can find a lot of resources on the net.
My iPhone 5 is Jailbroken and I used Evasion. Free download.
You can also search YouTube, you 'll be able to see step by step Jailbreaking.

It is very easy and fast.
Remember, you'll be able to jailbreak iPhone 5, ONLY if IOS 7.06 or earlier version.
Once jailbroken, DO NOT UPGRADE your IOS.

Good Luck.

Thanks so much! unfortunately I believe he just did a 7.1.1 update so I guess I will have to wait until a jailbreak comes out for that. frown

It is hard for jailbreak to keep up with tech upgrades these days. Sorry.
You might have other options:
1)- Are you using a MAC or a PC?
2)-Do you know the AppleID and password used on iPhone?
3)-Are you familiar with the "find my iPhone" feature?
4)- Are you using AT&T?
5)- Do you have an iPad?

We both use Mac's. He does have an iPad but he uses his iPhone for EVERYTHING.
And doesn't use his Mac for anything personal because it is a work computer and is already monitored. I do have his password. Don't have his iTunes or iCloud info so I couldn't do "find my iPhone." Would really like to jailbreak his phone as I think I'd find out the most that way...

HI! so I found that you can now jailbreak ios 7.1 but after jailbreaking the process involves then getting app from iTunes on the phone. What if you don't know the phone's itunes password?
