Yes, I enjoyed seeing the results of this one...

re: Karma--I'm not familiar with the 12 laws, but I know there are some similar topics regarding what goes around comes around in the Good Book, such as: judge not, lest ye be judged... do unto others as you would have others do unto you, give and it shall be given unto you... To me, this all means whatever we do, we are planting seeds for a future harvest. In other words, eventually we pay for our bad habits...

OK, I voted, but I like the commentary better than the poll. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

You forgot to ask, "Do you believe pickles are fruit?" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Seriously, thanks for your efforts, but as suggested by my recommended question, I'm perplexed with the relationship of the questions on the whole. Can you explain what the overall results indicate?

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeez Dave!

Does there have to be some deep meaning'd bottom-line this-is-what-this-means reason for my poll? Huh, huh??

Because actually, it's just to get to know people, and they are questions *I* felt like asking - you know, BECAUSE i CAN.

<img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Hey BTDT! Thank you for your help with the Karma thing. Boy, THAT was embarrassing! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Thanks for the good laughs on this thread. I really needed that. EVERYONE needs that kind of laughing all the time. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

On a more serious note: I think that the confusion on the "Karma" issue, could be confusion with that and the "soulmate" talk <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> that we've all cringed at. Maybe some folks think it's the same thing? JMHO. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

This has been a blast Ladies and Gents!

Thank you everyone - except Dave. Sorry Dave, but you pixxed me right off. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

I have been on a posting binge over the last two days -- I do this -- and then I back off for awhile...

Reminds me of the relationship I have with my sister, but I digress... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Jo - Smokin' what? I'm so clueless <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> ... I am an innocent flower. REALLY!

Love ya and here's some HUGS!! I've missed talking to you... nice to have us both back. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Susan - Here ya go, my friend:

Twelve Laws of Karma
</font>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">As you sow, so shall you reap.</font></li>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">You attract what you are, not what you want.</font></li>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">What you resist, persists for you.</font></li>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Wherever you go, there you are.</font></li>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Whenever there is something wrong, there is something wrong in us.</font></li>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Whatever you do may be very insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.</font></li>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">You can't think of two things at the same time.</font></li>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">If you believe something to be true, then sometime in life you must demonstrate that truth.</font></li>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">You can't go home again, but you must try.</font></li>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">The more things change, the more things stay the same.</font></li>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">When you focus on your life, good things happen.</font></li>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">What you put in, you get back.</font></li>
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I have explanations of all of them too, so if anyone has questions, feel free to ask and I'll elaborate - not with my words, since I'm so far ahead of everyone - would hate to confuse and confound. Yeah, that's right <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> ...

Where's "What goes around, comes around"? Is it the Reap / Sow deal?

Well Jo, I *think* that the 'goes around, comes around' dealy is actually kind of a amalgamation of all the laws... one that's easy to digest and understand.

There's another part of Karma called the "Axioms of the Universe" and the first is Cyclical and Sprialing... which states that nature cycles, spirals and intertwines both clockwise and counter-clockwise.

I think it's (goes around, comes around) is a baseline description that touches on everything.

Is Sheryl really mad at me? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

Hey, I like this Karma stuff. Is that really the 12 rules or whatever? Can I suggest a few similar "truths" that seem to fit? Or are these just cheap knock-offs?

Play the role, pay the toll.

You are what you eat.

Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff. (Not so sure about this one.)

C'mon, Sheryl. Don't fuss at me, please?

Dave, Dave, Dave...

Poor dear misguided Dave... no, I am not mad at all. I'm feeling silly, and knew you could take it! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

You can take it, right?? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Karma Rule #13 for Davey:

If you can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen.

Not to be confused with "If ya can't cook, blah, blah, blah ..."

It's National Tease Dave Week. Hee hee ...

OK girls, you can have fun at my expense any time. I can take it if you talk dirty. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

OK, combining the "eating" and "kitchen" truths, "If you don't like what you eat in a hot kitchen, there you are!" ????

Just a quick observation about the poll. It shows roughly 1/3 of the responders are male and roughly 2/3 are women.

And funny enough, roughly 1/3 of the responders claim to watch porn along and with their spouse.

I think I see a coorolation here.

Another thought, I was always under the impression anything that grows above ground was a fruit and anything that grows below ground is a veggie. Therefor potatos, carrots, beats, onions, etc. are veggies and pumpkins, beans, corn, tomatoes, apples and yes, cucumbers are fruits.??? Interestingly enough, does this mean that since people grew above ground we are all fruits? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />
