You wouldn't believe..."Freebird" played at the gym this morning. I was on the ellipitcal glider laughing oh, and singing quietly along.
Terri, Mothers have pretty strong protective instincts with their little ones, or, even in my case the "little ones" that are now taller than me.
You weren't in the wrong for not wanting to party...your H was less than compassionate if he didn't understand the mother instinct for a time is stronger than the coupling instinct. Other than work I didn't leave my oldest with a babysitter for 5 months. When the 2nd was born, the oldest 2 yr, 9 mo., I became a stay-at-home daycare provider for 6 years.

I have no choice but to comment on the music selections on this thread. I am VERY disappointed that none of you thought about the rest of us, who have no way of hearing those songs, unless by some freak incident, our local radio stations play them!
One of the first things I packed, while getting ready to leave here, is all of my music. I don't have any Barry Manilow (well, except for one tune on one of those K-tel tapes - "Mandy"), however, my Meatloaf and Neil Diamond are packed away. On the other side of my homemade "Neil" tape is the greatest hits of Jim Croce. Now I want to listen to that too. Oh darn... now I'm yearning for some good ol' Simon and Garfunkel. (dare I say on MB that my favourite is "Cecilia"??? )
I think I'm about to open up some boxes.
Thanks a lot ladies!!!
