Mark,
Hey, good to hear from you. I have been following your situation as well over at the Recovery board. I hope your wife comes around soon, perhaps the holidays will be a good trigger for her. I am glad she is at least keeping in somewhat regular contact with you.
I'm doing the best I can, yep. I try and keep busy but I do spend a lot of time thinking of everything still. The rollercoaster does continue. After the meeting with my wife last Thursday, I'm sort of, I guess, surprised, that she's started to ignore me again. I'm not sure if this is going to continue, with her ignoring me except for once a month when she HAS to see me for mail pickup or some other issue that can't be avoided.
That's a good point, maybe I will try her again in a day or two and just ask her to come over. I have already told her a couple of times that I wanted to get together once more before she goes to her family's place for Christmas. That happens on Monday. So I figured I'd give her a day or two to respond to my email, though I am not expecting that. She just disappears.
I hate that.
So your advice may truly be the best course of action. To just sit back and wait some more. You and I both know that's the hardest part of everything, the waiting. We wonder if our wives ever sit back and think about calling us, or think about us in general. From a BS point of view, I feel like we're the ones that do all the longing and the suffering. Our wives seem to have the best of everything. I hope this isn't true ALL of the time, and that she does think about us as well.
Her family, her mother in particular, tells me that she wants to sit down and talk with my wife when she is home for Christmas. I hope she does this and that my wife is receptive. She is normally very short with her parents and may shut them out as well. They have all told me that they want us to get back together though, so at least I have their support in that regard. I don't feel they'll push her hard for that, though, so I'm not expecting any Christmas miracles either. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />
Anwyay, thanks, good to hear from you. I am doing a lot better at keeping what her and OM are doing out of my mind. Not snooping makes that a lot easier and keeps them off my mind. New Years will be hardest as I'm sure they'll spend that together. I am looking forward to 2003 if only so the tough holidays (until Valentine's, anyway!) are out of the way.
