Awww Orchid - I'm sure you were an adorable little Japanese Shirley Temple. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

We haven't managed to go bowling yet...I think part of it is the noise level in the arcade at the Metreon. If we're going to have an activity - the Great Entertainer for pool would be perfect. They have food, drinks and you can have a reasonably civilized conversation (i.e. you don't have to yell to make yourself heard) all while having fun. They have parking. Only drawback is that I don't think anyone under 21 is allowed.

But hiking sounds really fun...as long as I don't have to fork out a bunch of money for hiking boots - I'm in!

I don't think I'll be able to make it this time, but maybe another time. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

If you will all split my share of the fun, you can each have a little extra. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Shoot, maybe some day.

Just got back from a gruelling trip with overnight to Bay Area. I think I'll have to sit this one out.

Hi,

Just got back from having a nice dinner w/T1, RH and Lulu. Had a great time. Those MBers are a talented group. If I could just stop spilling the wine, the night would have been perfect - LOL!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

RH was the chef, T1 was the gracious hostess, Lulu and my family provided our appetites and the entertainment. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> Naw... we all pitched in and helped by cooking, cleaning, eating and sharing good company.

The teamwork was great. We need more events like this.

Big thanks and hug to T1 & co! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

And thank you Orchid for coming. We had so much fun and especially enjoyed your pineapple upside down cake. It tasted great even soaked in white wine!

We'll do it again sometime, even if it's just ordering some pizza!

Great fun and great food with wonderful people.

AM Martin :
No the trip/hiking is 01/10/2004. We did something last night, cooking show LOL!.

Orchid&K:
Like always, time was too short <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> , we have to go while conversation was just getting heating up.

Lulu:
Like always, <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> you steal the show, w/ your sushi & miso soup. It was really good. Now I have 2 more dishes on my list.

T1:
Thanks for letting me messed up your kitchen. Becareful with that wine bottles <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> .

I'm glad you liked my miso soup - it wasn't as strong as I like it...I suspect you're being kind. Thank you for that.

T1 has enough ingredients in her fridge to make sushi for months....LOL!

Hey Lulu,
Oliver definitely stole the show. Should we keep MB buzzing as to who Oliver is? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Your miso soup and sushi were ono. So what did T1 do with all those leftovers? I thought I was suppose to take a plate of it home? Oh well.

It wasn't just about the food, the company was good. Though the subject matter sometimes had to be censored - LOL!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Hope U 2 had fun on Sunday. Did you get to make your famous platter of french toast? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Nah...we ended up staying up too late talking and we got up late. It was Starbucks on the car ride home... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="images/icons/blush.gif" /> Maybe next time...

I hope the weather is agreeable to us going hiking! I feel so antsy being cooped up in the house. I need some nature dammit!

Just thought I'd bump this, an opportunity to say "happy holidays"!

Last weekend I suffered a butt injury out at Northstar, skiing with a bunch of friends. It's killing me right now, but it *WILL* be better by the 10th.

Lulu, I hear you about being cooped up - all this rain blows chunks!

Well, I think I'll head out to the hot tub to nurse my tush...

Hi to the BayArea gang,

Can I just say.. this weather truly sucks!! I cant remember a wetter xmas! This weather really has me down <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" /> .

Yes, I am ruined and spoiled, too... (originally from the Gulf, myself!) Life in Ncal is way too soft <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> .

Happy holidays to all - Dru

Hi all,

Here's a few links to wet your whistle for the MB V hike...

http://www.bahiker.com/eastbayhikes/diablosummit.html

http://www.mdia.org/parkhighlights.htm

Hope everyone had a great Christmas, as you can see by the trail description, at 0.7 miles, you won't be burning off any of your holiday feast on this hike!

JR,

They both sound wonderful. I would love to visit the Farallon Islands someday....another MB trip? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Either one sounds good to me. You all decide.

Jan 10th, right? What time?

L.
