CSUE and 2Aok

THIS is an awesome post....

I hope all read it...
I'm tempted to pull it out and paste it and let it stand on it's own merit...

WAT...
Hypocrisy in the third degree. I hope you REALLY heal in time.

Amen my brother... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

I apologize. I made a mistake.

Everybody knows I was raised to be above average literate and, as a result, I have a impressive command of the language. It was part of my parent's plan for me. Before I made this mistake, my language usage and written words were above reproach. I may have NEVER misspelled a single word.

But, alas, I cannot undo it. It's done and NOTHING I can do will erase it.

I should have said, "Hypocrisy in the first degree."

OK, all better.

I confess I didn't even notice...
and then when I did ...
I just ASSumed it was like even worse than the first degree...

like hypocrisy to the third power..which would be like..

hypocrisy times hyporcrisy times hypocrisy

better than just hypocrisy squared...
but not as bad as hyporcrisy cubed...

I need more adult real time encounters.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

I was attempting a parody of one particular post further up in the thread. It worked on Pep and ark**! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Dear worthatry.
You and the others are having some word fun with the statement you made to me:
"Hypocrisy in the third degree."

I took it to mean like a third degree burn, that my pretending to be who I was before I had the affair (my hypocrisy) goes DEEP, like third degree burns.

And you are right, I am a hypocrit.
I pretend to be pure like before; Of course, I don't want people to know of my love affair with the OM.

Harley says most affairs are done in secret and most affairs are never revealed to their spouses.
My husband knows but the community or our family doesn't know.
That is the way my H wants it.
It really is betweeen him and me to deal with, no one else.
Is that what you think WAT, during recovery, that others don't need to know?

Sincerely, Sarah

Harley also says that keeping affairs secret is CRUEL, MANIPULATIVE and DANGEROUS. We shouldn't leave out that part, lest someone get the impression from your repeated statement that Harley would condone such abject cruelty. He doesn't.

My comments regarding hypocrisy relate to your faith. How you can claim to be a child of God, guided by Him, yet hide behind that label as resolution of your behavior. As if just because you claim to be guided by Him, whenever you stray, everything can instantly become alright just because you are "faithful." A quick fix?

This makes me question the value of your faith. You seem to cheapen it. What does it say to others who eschew your faith? A faith of convenience? It's malleable? You can contort it to suit your needs??

"Oops, I made a mistake. Oh well, God forgives me. Everything's OK now."

This was the point of my parody.

Ok 2L, here it is!

This is 2oak speaking on the Recovery Board

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Someone on another post mentioned that a goodly portion of WSs described here are conflict avoiders (2oak not included in this majority ).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ROFLM (FWS conflict avoiding)AO

Hey, give due credit. I INVENTED conflict avoidance. We had issues to solve and we weren't solving them so I handled that conflict very maturely by screwing a woman who told me I was a good boy.

That ain't avoiding conflict, that's running away from it in a full sprint.

..you are right that someone for whom it is all new needs a little gentle handling. Instead of "Get your head out of your [censored]" it should be "PLEASE get your head out of your [censored]".

What I'm saying is that the biggest help to an affair is people excusing it or helping the WS rationalize it. How in the world can you overcome it if you don't realize it is WRONG int he first place???

it will always be a little rocky here for a foggy WS who is busy defending their actions instead of figuring out how to fix the mess - be civil but for goodness sake don't let it slide.

Here's a little nugget for every FWS - if you reveal absolutely everything, give up all your secrets, reveal your schedule, cell records, email, passwords, fiancials EVERYTHING and do right? Life gets real easy. The stress of concealing the affair and living so crroked you have to screw your socks on is suffocating. As AWFUL as D-Day plus 1 is it is better than D-Day minus 1 in a lot of ways.

The end!
