How are you?

Thought you'd like WAT's Island Salad:

Ingredients:

Hearts of Romaine

Small sections of fresh cored pineapple

Grated coconut

Ground nutmeg

Creamy Poppyseed dressing

In separate salad bowls, cover romaine lettuce with the pineapple without overdoing it. Sprinkle coconut over the lettuce/pineapple and "salt" with nutmeg. Chill. Serve chilled with poppyseed dressing to taste.

I'm doing OK.

This grieving is like getting one's heart tied up with barbed wire.... ouch! Sometimes the best thing ... is to just sit still and not move around too much.

WAT .... you're crazy. Love ya!

Pep - grieving is an art form.

It is what you make of it. Necessary, yet rationed.

My well wishes are with you.

You are a special person.

Someday we'll meet, perhaps Susan will join us.

Sus - coverage is/will be provided - and we may frequent the southern Ches Bay. Take my word for it - it's just about as South as we can get. Your attendance can help. "all Ya'll" is plural of "Ya'll."

"Local" on "The Bay" is a state of mind. There is only one "Bay." Don't listen to Redhat, et al.

A little Old Bay can do wonders.

See you soon.

Two days before Mom slipped into a coma...

Her hospice nurse was visiting with her... chatting..

Mom said, "Want to hear a joke?"

Nurse said, "Sure".

Here's the last joke my Mom told...

A little girl was eating a Twinkie.

Her Daddy said,"Want to come with me? I'm going to the barber to get my hair cut."

The little girl said "Yes Daddy."

During her Father's haircut, the barber said,

"Watch out! You're going to get hair all over your Twinkie!"

The girl said, "Yes, I know. And someday ... I'm going to get boobs too !! "

The gift of humor ... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Teary]" title="" src="graemlins/teary.gif" /> Laughter through tears is the most amazing emotion....

The nurse's jaw dropped open! LOL
