You guys are killing me with all this talk!!! My dear departed Irish mother used to mumble something about "when angels fly out of me [censored]...." but cicadas?
What a graphic! And to think, people actually EAT those things! Who knows where they've been?!
WAT, the ground is thawed as thawed can be. All the trees are in full bloom. We've cut the lawn four times already! Its been in the 80s a good part of May (when it isn't dropping into the 50s at a moments notice with winds of 95 mps and green skies that make one think of Shrek.)
Nah. I think they're all drowned and dead. Or swept away in the wind into the many rivers around these parts. Pity.

Hey, how can you tell those Cicada pests from all those other pests that congregate around DC year around? (You know, the ones that like to inhabit big rooms and talk on and on endlessly, arguing with each other about ridiculous things and raising a racket not unlike that of our friendly cicadas, eh?)
If only politicians would come out of the ground once every 17 years.
And then leave again.
(Can you tell I am sick to death of this election stuff already?) LOL!

OK, I have a .wav file, but it's no better than the links posted by JJ.
I'll send it to anyone who requests it to DCScandals@yahoo.com.
It's 1877 kb, 48mHz, 16 bit, stereo. But only about 10 seconds long. Had to make that short to get it under 2 mb for mailing. Recommendation: don't ask if you don't have broad band!
But, it doesn't do the real thing justice.
