I am feeling "off" today. I would not say I feel sick. Parts of me hurt but nothing specific. I am not quite so down. My W has been talking to me more. Oh not whole conversations or even short exchanges, but she is responding more. When I left for work, I kissed her on the forehead, as I do every day. She said "goodbye" to me as I left. I know that is not much, but at least she has moved beyond talking on an as needed basis.

On Thursdays our office goes out for Chinese food. I don't put any stock in fortune cookies other than seeing them as pithy pseudo-proverbs. But this is my "fortune" from yesterday: "With integrity and consistency – your credits are piling up". You know, I believe that. I think the hardest thing to deny is consistent behavior in the midst of turmoil. Call it "courage under fire", "grace under pressure", "focus in the fray" or whatever. I think it is undeniable that when all you have left is your character, that is all others can see. I hope that my W can see my commitment to loving her in my raw character.

Well today is our first session with the MC in two weeks. I hope there is at least some progress.
