I had no idea how close our stories are.

Tweak a few details and there you have the story of H and I. Even the trip to Europe.

Scarey.

Jen,
I've been off and on today. Very busy at work. Been talking to Boss, Homer & LakelandPark.

Did you see the cwmac illiad or is it the odyssey?

So how are you and my wife similar? Did you ruin a tript to Europe also?

Yes, I did ruin a trip to Europe.

H didn't know I was ruining it at the time but he would like to throw the photos away now.

My A started just before the trip which we had planned for months. Took D for a graduation present and mother to help her get over grieving for dad.

I left the table a couple of times in tears, (jet lag) huh! I ruined a stay at a beautiful villa by being homesick I ruined the best holiday we had ever had by e-mailing OM from every little village we went to. H even stood outside the door once because the internet cafe was so crappy and threatening.

I can't even go there - it's horrible.

I need to go now. H has come home early and I'm making home made burgers. It's only 5.30 here.

As my son's friend from Santa Rosa says, "Later."

Jen,

quote:
My A started just before the trip which we had planned for months.

So did hers as you read. Before the trip their few lunches went from just friendly to kissing (the romantic type, not the "hi old friend" type)

As I said on Boss' thread, I lb'd on the trip due to nerves, being responsible for everybody. Even before my lb's she wasn't with me. Friendly but removed.

My lbing on the trip was the final rationalization that she needed to go "pedal to the metal." We got back mid July and by mid August they want on the now infamous boat "ride."

BTW, I have always wanted to do it on a boat. Sorry...never mind.

After the "boat ride," our relationship spiraled downward and I knew something was wrong but didn't know what. Of course that led to frustration & the anger. More rationalization. She thought of divorcing me. To this day she's still barely aware that it was her affair that soured our relationship.

One more thing about the boat that really bugs me. He invited W and my girls out on "the" boat during Christmas vacation that year. It was a day of dolphin watching. I wasn't invited. (That was the beginning of the end because I started to put things together.) Anyway my point is he & she had the nerve to take my girls out on that boat. They even sat down below where they had F----ed.

Two years later when my middle D sees dolphins at the beach she talks about how that was the best day of her life.

Jen,
Ahhhooooga! Ahhhoooga! Do you know what that sound is?

The sound of the fog horn. I think a bit of it was blowing in last night. Didn't realize fog was as big of a problem in NZ as it is here in California.

Just teasing you. I saw your message before you edited it.

I think I'm safer talking about "geographical facts of New Zealand."

Did you see where I told you the population of NZ (and asked you not to laugh). 3.5 million.

BTW when you said Homer I immediately thought "Simpson." LOL.

I missed the population of NZ post. How about the #1 cash crop question?

BTW if FWW are in the "fog" there needs to be a MB term for when the male BS still wants to make the OM's haead and face look like a spaghetti dinner. Guess we're in the "bog".

I'm sitting here thinking - does he know that the English/Kiwi meaning of "bog" is the toilet or is that also in use in the US.

If not, what exactly does he mean? Does he mean a swampy marshland?

Gee, who'd have thought there'd be a language barrier.

H is definitely still in the category of "don't let me catch him on a dark night."

BTW answered the cash crop question on the other post. REALLY interesting.

KiwiJ,
Yes I know about the cash crop answer. Remember I'm not on MB at all hours anymore so it takes me awhile to catch up with Jen.

Bog...swampy marshland, dark dank and spooky. And No we male BS aren't a stat of "toilet" thank you very much.

Don't worry Jen you and the W are safe. OM is a different story.

Remember "Tempted Women." The chapter on male BSs says it all. I'll show him my competitive spirit.

Getting back to the fog.

Do you think what I said WAS foggy?

I deleted it mainly because it was insensitive to BS's. Yet again. I seem to have a knack.

Honestly, and I mean honestly, life is so normal at home now. I genuinely love my husband and I don't want to be with or see OM. I'm not stupid, I know it never would have worked in a million years. I do think about him probably more than I should though. I do know that the more time goes by the less he will mean anything at all.

Does that make me foggy?

Jen,
Sorry not trying to ignore you. Wanted to think about my response.

The reason I said that was bc I had just made a post that exposed my feelings and more info about the W's affair and the only response I got was...

"My OM was a sailor, too...."

Maybe I was being selfish for needing a different response but I took your response as you focusing on just your situation. To me selfish behavior = fog.

Not trying to be a [censored] just trying to answer your question truthfully.

Sorry

Gee CW, maybe now you know how I felt when you asked for an update, I gave you an honest, emotionally vulnerable one, to which you responded with a joke. I was literally blown away by your response.

P.S. Don't bother looking for it, it's already deleted.

Ah, I see.

Just shows how difficult it is to "talk" by written medium.

I read your post about the boat and all I could think was "how can this situation be so similar?" and went on from there. I wasn't even aware you were looking for some sort of validation of what you'd written. I thought you were just having a bit of a vent.

I'm sorry I didn't see the fog. I do it in real life too you know - just ask my friends. I have a friend who says to me "it's not always all about you, you know." which reminds me to listen to other people.

No hard feelings I hope.

Jen,
No hard feelings at all. I Just was trying to tell yoiu what I was thinking. I was even a bit embarrassed to have to explain it bc then I had to say that i was looking for a comment on the "boat".

So forget about it.

Still your "cyber" MB BH post pal,

cwmac
