WAT ... this "newbie" is holding this situation by her H's short ones ... if ya know what I mean.

I've never seen anyone grasp MB so fast and run with it.

Amazing...

Ah, just got home from work, popped up the popcorn and poured myself some coke.

When you start thinking about a separation agreement, be sure to keep the home for your baby and girls when they are staying with you. Get all this legal while he is still in the fog.

You are doing just fine. Keep it up. I know it is hard, but you are doing extremely well.

Waiting for the next installment.

I want everyone to know how absolutely inspired I am by this whole story. I have about 36 hours to get my plan in place. I only hope I can come close to the determination and creativity that I have heard here. Now, I have some homework to do...

jmh - It can be done. Faith only had a few days. For most people, it takes a long time to catch on. I have been going thru this for 18 months, and still having problems. The most important thing is to realize that all of your feelings will lead you in the wrong direction. You have to learn to think outside of the box.

Oh dear me, that is priceless! I sure like your responses. What did you say to him about waiting a year to tell the girls?

I said, I'm not so sure that's the best idea. Let wait and talk to the MC about that and see what he thinks.

ahhhhhhhh, but if she is in the military is she supposed to be messing around with a married man? Isn't that against regulations?

Also, he was concerned about ripping the girls from their school and friends, wouldn't it then be HIM who would be doing that since he has decided to move away? If he got an apartment locally, they wouldn't have to be uprooted and move.

#1 Dork Statement:
22 year old OW thinks being a step mom will be fun!

And she assumes the kids will not be terribly hurt and full of resentments by the divorce. Why, you ask? because everyone knows that kids just want their parents to be "happy" first ... and then everything else will be "OK". Oh-hum.... (yawn) typical OW tripe.

#2 Dork Statement:
Maybe I'll come back after being with her for a few months and we'll get back together. I say, That door may be closed by then. He responds......

He said THAT!

Wow.... must be "true love" he's already thinking about his EXIT! ~LOL~

#3 Dork Statement:
I'm pretty sure I can open that door

He knows you love him... but he underestimates your strength.

and the winner

#4 Dork Statement:
I think it would be best to wait and tell the kids about the divorce until I come back in a year.

Huh?

I disagree with Mr. D

...... I was thinking while I was cooking my applesauce (I have a tree that has gone berzerk and I am overrun with apples)...

I was stirring and thinking ... don't let him spring this sad news on the kids 10 minutes before he exits for the door on his way to TexASS. Thus escaping the fallout. Be sure he is THERE for a minimum 2-3 days after he tells the girls. He needs to witness their grief and tears. And, if he does indeed give them this news, allow yourself to cry with the girls. They need to see you cry as well.

TA-DA...... His transformation from human to foggy alien is now complete. Please step away from the mothership!!!

Makes your head spin, doesn't it.

I am starting to feel sorry for him.... his nuts are getting squeezed and it's cutting off oxygen to his brain.

Why don't you expose this to the chain of command?

Or do you expect that he needs to figure it all out on his own without any "help"?

Because between you, me and the fencepost, the cost of living is WAY lower than the rest of the country in south Texas, but so are the payscales! How the hell is he gonna pay that and keep up with another child (the 22 yo)????

From where I'm sittin' here (someone who has lived in SAT for 10+ years) there aren't that many high payin' jobs there - who's [censored] is he kissin' to land this job - most large co's in SAT hire from within for the higher paying positions if possible....ime.

Just wondering.

This absolutely MUST be reported to her command, Faithinme. Sure, it may not get her kicked out, but she will have to deal with the loss of respect in the workplace and then when they're kickin' it around town, she'll know what her coworkers are thinking.... "homewrecking b**ch"...

The smugness our spouses have considering being able to get us back. yeah its sickening. My husband, during our seperation, once asked if I'd leave another man for him if he came back. Then asked that if I was married if I'd leave mynew husband for him. OMG, are they freaking kidding???

Their ego gets such a stroke, Im surprised they can walk through doors.

I absolutely LOVE that you make sure he sees you operating independently from him. I need to start doing this, too...since it seems my husband is beginning to get a bit to comfy in our recovery now. The other night I whispered as we were falling asleep "We are going to be fine." and he says, surprised, "I thought we were!"

*sigh* Men.
