We will be going to my cousin's wedding, but the reception is costumes....

DS #1 is going as a skater whose broken both legs (and he has - got his last cast off week before last, then 1 week later broke the other damn leg - skating, of course). He's in a cast on one leg and a splint on the other. ((((Sigh)))) 14 year olds.........

DD is a fairy ballerina complete with one of my tutus from when I was a dancer.

DS #2 will be Robin from the Teen Titans

I am unenthused. I was going to be Super Girl, but really don't feel like being anything but mom.

Once my friend and I went to a costume party with vacuum cleaners strapped on our backs, curlers in our hair, green cream on our faces, cleaning products in our utility belts, slippers.

Yep...Middle Aged Mutant Ninja Housewives

Halloween is really my H's holiday, he loves it. It is HONESTLY the only special day he takes off of work. he works Christmas, birthdays, anniversarys, Thanksgiving, you name it he will work it, all BUT Halloween.

DS7 is going as Batman Beyond

DS4 is going between Buzz lightyear and Spiderman, have both, hopefully he will choose!!

DS1 is not so happy about the whole idea but is either going as a pumpkin which is SO cute, he Hates it, or a firefighter, again cute.

Myself, I stay home and hand out candy, I should dress up in something sexy though, I will work on that!!

H does not dress up, but LOVES the day. Actually it is the sweettooth of his he loves, and this is a way to get a ton of candy.

Toppers

Yeah. Here are her cake toppers. They are the "Over Joyed" ones. How cool are they?

I want this:

Elvis/Mariachi

The Elvis and Mariachis.

I don't dress up but I've always made the kids' costumes from patterns from the fabric store. This year DD12 is going as a spider queen. Caped gown with zig-zaggy bottom, spider belt, big collar.

Past costumes have included Egyptian Princess, Xena (that was a GREAT costume), pilgrim (another GREAT one).

One of the best I've ever seen was a pig. This BIG guy had a plastic pig-nose, and wore pink sweats (no clue where you get pink sweats that big) with six baby bottle nipples stapled to the front of the shirt.

Ok...My son is either going to be a skeleton or a grim reaper. He has both costumes so we'll see!
I on the other hand went to a party the other night as a slayer. Of course I was a slayer of "cheating husbands". It was all in fun and all of my friends thought it was hilarious.
We have a block party tomorrow night and I'll just be a plain ole slayer.
