Hi, ML. Scary thought up here in Canada, eh? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

I am old enough to remember the first time. Teased hair so ratty and big. Then wearing a "wrap thingy" around your head to preserve that fabulous look for the next day. BLECH!

How about spiral perms? 300 perm rods on your head. So heavy you would get a sore neck. And no guarantee that your perm would last very long or not come out looking like a brillo pad! (Voice of experience)

OH! OH! I know. How about that hair style that is cut layers that seem to be favoured by balding men who then tie it back in a thin ponytail? But, it started out as "THE STYLE" for women. Can't remember the name of the darn thing.

I know there are others.

Texas hairspray? Must be veryheavyduty. But not as good as gel. That stuff is a helmet. You are safe in any collisions up to 50 miles and hour!

ML, when I'm an old lady I'd like to have big, blue or purple hair. Are you Texans into that look? CV

Wow, am I ever thankful I have practically NO hair. What little I have I get cut real short - it makes it easier to put on sunscreen. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

fighting, we have lots of wind down here in Texas <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> [hahaaaa, can you believe I said that??] so we need lots of hairspray to protect our beauteous hair.

It was a very . . . strikingly vivid color that women of a certain "age" dyed their hair over there. It was almost a categorizing device, I think.

I prefer the blue/gray, personally.

Okay I read the article and I dutifully enlarged the pics.

Most of them were pretty much okay.

But ONE of them.... OMG! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> These women look like the alien chick in "Mars Attacks!".

Mars Attacks! haristyles

Its a flash in the pan - Farrah Fawcett hair was popular again after the Charlies angels movie came out ! This ie just a 'Dallas' thing I'm sure !

<img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Of course in England we have to keep bad hair to draw attantion from our crooked teeth ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Ohhhhh Baby, I like that Martha Stewart Doo! ML, you don't think it would look good with a few purple highlites throughout? Maybe the "Menapausal Maroon" Spidey was talking about? As far as your former Gov's Doo, it's a little too helmit hair for me.

K, I am loving those bell bottoms. I've heard tell that that they make a woman's legs look longer. I bought myself a couple of tye-dye shirts this summer. This girl is remembering those hippie days, minus those magic mushrooms! Still like that Rock though! CV

Spidey, I knew you would be impressed! Ain't she a beaut?! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

And Bob, I hate to tell ya this, but foreigners are just hopeless. Big hair has never gone out of style down here and here they are emulating us once again! Ya might as well just hang it up! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Turtlehead. I DON'T THINK SO!!! Those gals [or "hoes" as FamilyMatters would put it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> ] would be arrested out in east Texas for showing their belly buttons! Good grief! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

ML - Except on the coast of Texas. If I backcombed my hair and sprayed it like that, it'd be a gummy mess. We do the wind-blown look down here....

Melody -

If you ever saw the beautiful yankee head of hair I have, you would fall to your knees doing the "I am not worthy chant"!

Oh, why don't I have a scanner...

Texans are so conceited, I swear they thank their sheet dont stank!

I'm beautiful, I'm yankee and I'm PROUD of it.

Now don't you have some horses to pasture, or some fences in need of fixin on the back 40? Or maybe some ropin boots which need the sheet cleaned off of them? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
