Georgia,
On the alimony question, I can tell you what we're talking about.
In my state (and you know which one that is), "temporary alimony" is actually called something like "alimony en mass" - and is put into the settlement as if it were a lump sum, but to be paid as a certain amount of $$$ per month. The difference between this and regular alimony is that it is not modifiable. The trouble with regular alimony is that your W could come back later and ask for it to be modified (again this applies in my state), but if no regular alimony is awarded, the "temporary alimony" cannot be modified after the D is final. If she remarries, for example, I still pay. If I lose my job, I still pay. If I get a raise to double my salary (fat chance), I still pay the same.
Also, this "temporary alimony" is not tax deductible to the payer nor taxable to the reciever. Regular alimony is both of those.
Again, this is true in my state. I don't know about yours.
About the jury trial. Honestly, I don't think a jury trial would work in your W's favor. It's certainly a roll of the dice (I've been on a jury several times), but I don't think she would have any advantage there - not against those phone records. OTOH, you should listen to your lawyer on that Q - not some internet stranger.

Georgia,
.... one more thought....
It seems to me that your W's main problem is that she has too much time on her hands.

LOL! I agree with AD about your WW having too much time on her hands. I really haven't been able to understand her. I am not a phone person. Speaking as a goddess, my earlobes would begin to perspire!
Thanks for joining with me in the OW bashing discussion. No one else to do it with!! She looks alright, not really ugly, but not GODDESS material. I've never understood his physical attraction to her. He says that she was "nice" to him. I think she's an alcoholic so she's begun to have dark circles under her eyes. I saw her from afar. I was in my car and she was standing outside of her office and the dark circles seemed apparent from even that distance. She's plain jane, doesn't wear makeup, so different than me in that respect. Her body type also is the exact opposite of mine. She is becoming thicker in the middle, not really fat but it would not be a good idea for her to show her midriff, OK? Like I said, I've never been able to understand the attraction. It had to do with how she treated him... LOTS OF ADMIRATION AND ATTENTION!!!!!
Did I tell you about the time that I was in the checkout line beside hers in Walmart? She saw me but acted as if she didn't know who I was. A friend of mine says that she for sure knew it was me. YES! I WAS J-LO, GODDESS, MRS. MIMI that day. She was... who she is.... definitely NOT ME!!!
Again, thanks for participating in this tasteless conversation with me!

You're welcome. Every once in a while, I've just got to get down and wallow in the mud, too. I sometimes get the overwhelming urge to grab the little shrimpy OM and just beat the pulp out of him (with the love of Jesus, of course).
Mimi. I will be out of the office for the next 2 days. I have delegated the duties of my office to others here, but I am delegating my thread to you during my absence. Please monitor it to assure no theological debates turn into food fights.
I know I can count on you.
Have a good couple of days.
BTW - Jeb will be spending a couple of days with his adoptive grandparents.

EDIT - Oh yes, you did tell me about the Wal-Mart encounter. I'm curious...why would a GODDESS be at Wal-Mart and not Target? [ March 22, 2005, 02:49 PM: Message edited by: Formerly G.G. ]

I was wanting to share how much I want her to "Burn in hell", hopefully very soon. However, this seemed too "ugly" to say out loud here.
Actually, I do prefer Target. However, this was the Super Walmart and I was buying groceries. We don't have a Super Target. Is there such a thing?
I will carefully keep watch over your thread. I hope FYR shows up soon.
Have a fun time. I know you can!!

Mimi,
Since GG handed the thread over to you, I'll answer you!
Yes, there are "super target" stores - but none where I live!
Also my husband said the exact same thing..."He says that she was "nice" to him." Eeeeeeeeeeeekk!!
His need is also admiration and attention. All I can do is shake my head!!!!!!!!!

I'm shaking my head right along with you!
The thing is I'm REALLY the "nice" one. She is not. She was just pretend. At least, he admits that now.
