Well my DD left Friday to go with her dad for 4 months (joint custody arrangements) and my BF left this am to go back to work in Chicago, so I was feeling pretty miserable this am when I decided to start a project, and now I am so excited.
I have decided to redo my front porch in soft colors with new antique french curtains (that I just bid on ebay) and turn it into a little room for my daughter to play with and display her babies.
I have been looking on ebay all morning for little handmade baby blankets, outfits etc. And even one of those little indian baby carrying baskets. And ebay has the most beautiful little "reborn" baby dolls.
I am going to find some old furniture and redo it like a little storage bench and rocking chair and maybe a little baby highchair.
Anyway she will LOVE it as our house is soooo small she barely has room to turn around in her room. And now I am not feeling so bad about her not being here.
So does anyone else have any Chistmas projects going on?

Hi weaver,
I haven't been posting too much lately but when did you aquire a boyfriend?
Well,I don't have many projects planned out.I am just trying to get through this part of the season in one piece. My WH soon to be EX finally got another job but in another country, again, so we are all trying to cope with that and his packing and also getting our final D plans resolved with our Mediator.Ugh.
I will be decorating a lot though soon but I think most of what I have planned for my home I will do in the Springtime.I need to have my hardwood floors refinished, paint more, redo my master bedroom now that I am the sole user ,stuff like that.
I'm glad to hear that you are going to be ok with your little girl being gone for 4 months.Gee.I would go nuts.I told my WH that I was going for sole physical custody and that I would not settle for anything less. But,with WH being so far away, that obviously worked in my favor.
Anyway,I'm just bracing my family for Winter. That's all the energy I have right now.
See you around.
O
P.S.

Hey O,
I have a feeling that next year you will have way more energy for projects. You have been through too much this year, and haven't got "yourself" back yet, but you will.
PS, I am somewhat embarrassed to tell you I haven't acquired a new BF, it is the same old one but things have changed drastically since my plan B. I am having a hard time telling you this because you know our history, and I don't want to lose your cyber friendship, and I don't want you to think less of me.
You are and have been one of my personal fav's here and believe me when I say next year will be "your" year. All this really will seem like a lifetime ago for you. YOU WILL be happy again, without the shadow of this hell hanging over your head.
AND we are all going to toast that day. It's been a long time coming for you, I know.
((((Octobergirl)))), your the best!

You know the custody arrangement is hard, but as I have no family here, and no parents or grandparents, she needs that from him. He and his wife have lots of exteneded family and my DD needs that.
One thing that she needs and he can give. I try to keep that in my thoughts on the days I forget why agreed to let her live with him every other four months.
He is going to let her come here for part of Christmas before they go to Florida, so I will be fine. And I'll have this porch project to keep me busy and happy until she comes back

Hi again,
You're with the old BF.UGH.Can I ask why after he was actually seeing someone else not too long ago? After reading that Believer had SF with some guy, other than her H(although I know she didn't feel married anymore)I am saddened/disappointed I suppose for you both.
I don't want to come across judgmental.I am always in danger of that because I have such high(but not unrealistic IMO) expectations/standards for people and am frequently let down.Don't worry about what I think though.I wouldn't begin to fool myself into knowing what is best for you and you won't lose any cyber-friendship.
Just feeling a little confused in people these days.
Glad to hear that you'll be busy redecorating and I know that your DD needs her daddy. As much as I have a hard time even looking my WH in the eyes nowadyas,I know I need to encourage his time with the kids too. They need him in their lives.
As for me,I know I will be ok.I am a very strong person and always have been.I have been hit hard by this Infidelity for sure but when I think of the other horrors I could be going through like one of my daughters dying or being kidnapped and never seen again,I thank God for all my blessings.I have two healthy, beautiful girls whom I adore and love more than life itself and I can't help but be grateful for them, everyday. They are my reason for living and I couldn't be happier knowing that I am here for them.Battered, broken and pasted back together but still here, nonetheless.

Hi Weaver, I have not been doing any Christmas projects lately....unless you include that I am busy trying to stomp our this A. I have been on the computer alot for MB, but when I need a mental break...I go onto www.crsftster.org. Mostly pre-teen and teen ideas, but it is fun to see how creative minds work and return back to that time when the "innocent ruled" and you made something out of anything! Keep busy on the weekend making progress with your projects. SS

Thanks SureSurvivor!
Yes I suppose that stomping out the affair would be a full time project.
Damn evil invidelity anyway. Takes us away from the beauty of life, such as Christmas and takes us into the pits of hell. I truly am starting to believe that a worldwide "stomp out infideltiy" mission is needed. Like what Cerri (Penny Tupe) is working on.
Although I was not married, and was the unsuspecting OW in my sitch, infidelity has affected ever aspect of my life. But life is looking up for me now.
It will for you too, SureSurvivor, it is only a matter of time.

ya know, I just returned from the mall and am appalled at how some of these young girls dress. The chubby ones are wearing very unflattering hip huggers that only enhance their rather large rear ends. And their tops only go to their belly buttons so their belly rolls hang over. Good grief...... Where are their mothers???

I know Kloe, and I am so excited for you! I do love baby girls and I so missing having one around.
I'm having the best time thinking about the play nursery porch I'll be working on, and shopping for baby things for it. Almost like getting ready for my own baby and not just my DD's playroom.
Melody - yes I see girls dressed like that all the time, what is it with showing their fat little bellies? ...I don't know.

Weaver, I just bought a new washer and dryer, I'm fixing my laundry room up, I'm going to make it into a scrapbooking nook for me. YIPPEE!!
I also just rearranged all my kitchen, my fridge here, my table there, my island over here, it looks so much better, or maybe just new and refreshing.
I'm going to be helping my mom paint her living room and some guest bedrooms as well.
Your daughters doll room so awesome. I'll be up to see it.

What is it about this time of year that gets us going on projects.
I like scrapbooking too.
This is the first fall in four years that I have been really happy, and it just feels so dang good!

What a fabulous idea weaver!!! I have to admit that I am a doll-fanatic and have indulged my eldest daughter's obsession with dolls for self-serving reasons! I LOVE the reborn babies- someday I 'm going to buy myself one! Have FUN!

My scrapbooking supplies are all in my dining room- the only room that we actually dont' use often! I'd love my own "nook" where I could leave everything out. Maybe someday when we finish the basement!

It's time for me to begin making soaps again (homemade).
This year, I'm also doing soups in a jar (with all the dried beans and veggies, just add stock) and cookies in a jar for gift baskets.
