For my wife on our eight anniversary, the kids and I wrote a book of poems for and about her. The kids drew some pictures to go along with them and we also scanned in some photos. Then, we took it to Kinkos and had it bound.

Then, we read all of the poems and put them on a CD. You haven't attemepted a craft project until you've tried to get a five-year-old to recite a poem into a microphone, that's for sure.

It was a lot of work. (And since we began working on it before D-Day, it was a hard project to finish.) But...she was very touched by it.

Hey Bob, wouldn't it mean as much if you told her "Some wonderful ladies told me you would love these..."

How about dropping a few drops of lavender or patchouli in a bottle of sweet almond oil...voila! scented massage oil.

I'm ambitious, I'm working on a couple of afghans for hte kids...BUT...I am cheating, big time, I got myself a knitting machine and will probably whip out one afghan by this weekend.

Andrew,

I love what you did. That is cool!

Bob,

I'm a bracelet girl myself, ankle bracelets, wrist bracelets you name it. The last one I got was a belly chain, 18k gold with a pretty cyrstal hanging off the end. It keeps me motivated to stay slim so I can show it off in the summer.

Why don't you get her a belly chain with a little gold thing on the end that says squiddy on one side and boopsie on the other? (or whatever she calls you)

I'ld paint ya up some glasses Bob, but you'ld be better off having one of your kids do the painting, it'ld look a lot better than mine. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Bob,

Do you have any of those stores nearby where you can paint your own pottery? My wife and I visited one of those this weekend.

We painted a plate in honor of our anniversary. Obviously, it's not Van Gogh...but it came out better than expected and we had a good time doing it together.

If it's jewelry ye be wanting (to buy, not make) check out Chico's. They have a lot of good stuff there at a pretty reasonable price.
