Hey Bob, after watching the slanging match going on between mom & dad to 3 boys, are you sure you want Squidy to enrol here. If you are both doing really well in your recovery, it might do more harm than good. Just a maybe ... TT

Hey you guys - back for the moment....
Starz - Howdy from TX. I am in the big D....haven't spent much time east of Houston (plenty in Houston), but did a little teaching stint at a camp (riflery and nature - how's that for a contradiction! ) in Marshall, TX. About as "east" as you can get from here!
Texan by birth, Aggie by grace of God
Bob P - I am the "official whine taster," but I would love to have a wine expert. Your Squid could be my supervisor (since I know SQUAT about wine). We would get along great, considering I am also a FWW who was wanting to save her M. (OK, so I am in plan D/B - but still)
Also wanted to say that you might have her start posting on the "Recovery" board rather than here first. It is where I started posting back in June 2003, and I have to admit that I have been nothing but supported there. Mainly b/c I was a FWW who wanted to save the M. JMVHO
Weaver - and yes, everything really IS bigger in Texas
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

LIT- OMG, an Aggie!!!!
It's ok, I live about 60 miles east of Mecca (College Station) and I can deal with it!
Big D is not so far - been there many times, many relatives and friends that live there.
Well, big blowup over supper tonight - I'll post on another thread.

I am 60 miles east where highway 30 intersects with 45. Great place to live. Isn't this a great place also? Idiotville is perfect. There is no conflict, no strife, no unhappiness. Just laughter and teasing and lots of fun. I can't seem to get through a day without this place. Welcome. We do have a language problem, but the mods are fixing that.
My other thread is posted. Rough night.

You're gonna make us leave the Idiotville compound?
For you, starz, I will!

Thanks, Robby - no need to leave the compound. Just know that there is another wonderful place around that if Idiotville gets closed down, you all can come here. I've got lots of acres. I will share with my friends. How would you like a place on a hill overlooking a tree-lined creek flowing with water and deer chasing and playing in the grass and squirrels chattering and fussing at you every time you walk out on your porch? Owls hang in the tree and hoot at night, and the moon is big and bright and you can see all the stars and enjoy the breeze at night and the crisp air. You can walk the hills here and tread the same ground that Sam Houston and my ancestors walked on as they planned the Texas Revolution. You can raise cattle and pigs and children in safety - no drugs or gangs, and family is still the strongest influence in a child's life. And no matter what happens, you will always be able to raise food and have meat and know that you will be able to provide for yourself and your family. That is where I live and the heritage I was raised with. My son has been raised with this same love of the land and the incredible gift that has been given to him.
That's what is so sad - The person I wanted to share this with is going under for the third time -- and I don't know how to save him.
So in case the mods close us down someday, all of Idiotville can move here. Gosh, we'd have a great time. There are enough good cooks on this site that we'd all become fat. And we've already got all the jobs filled. We'd run pretty smooth, I think.

Thanks, Robby. I am so tired of all this drama. I have never been a "game playing" person - Some women like this kind of stuff and all the jr. high antics that go with this kind of stuff. I am not one of them. I am a kind of straightforward person. Subterfuge is not my style. Well, que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be. It is time for me to stand up and say, "You make your choices. I will stand for what is right, I will stand for my marriage vows, and I will continue to be a good and decent person no matter what you do." I only wish he knew how much I loved him. I know you feel the same way about your W. I will pray tonight for both our marriages.

Good morning from sunny, Freezing England ! * shiver* ( actually its only about 2 degrees c so not exactly GENUINELY freezing!
I have a horrible feeling that I should've gone to our holiday home and decommissioned it for the winter this weekend....I'll HAVE to do it soon else the pipes will freeze and burst.
Still, I get my li'l sports car back from the bodyshop today so I can hopefully drive down in that !!!!!!!!!!

Boyz and their toyz!!
Just as an aside, in Hong Kong, where I reside, (I'm a poet and I didn't knowet!) a BS is legally entitled to KILL the OW providing she uses only her bare hands. Read that in the newspaper this week so it must be true. Is this true of the States as well? I know France has some legal loopholes for 'crimes of passion' too.
Years ago, my best friend in England found out her boyfriend was married (he'd lied to her for months). You'll be pleased to know she didn't kill him but she followed him around for weeks in her car. Every other day she let down the air in his tyres. This was a very big deal because he was a driving instructor. At the time, I thought she was petty but now, this just makes me smile . It's tea-time in Asia so I'm off for now. TT

Starz, I want to come!!!
I lived in Texas when I was 25/26. Lived in Carollton, right outside of Dallas and worked at the small private airport in Dallas for Pumpkin Air. I was air ground radio communications, which means the pilots would radio me and tell me to call their wives and tell them what time they would be home for dinner, etc.
I also lived in Oklahoma working at a club for about a year. Loved Oklahoma, especially the people. Had to come back up here to BFE to take care of my dad after that. Then I got pregnant and now can't leave because of a court order keeping DD's dad and me in the same town.
So I tease the Texan's but really I love them.
RIGHT!

TT,
I love what that BS did to her WS with the tires. Wish I had the guts to behave that way. Here you would go to jail for that kind of behavior though! And killing them? NOOOOOO, definately a no no in the states.
